GW won't start!

OK, so when I double click Guild Wars, the mini loading screen I call it, where the percent bar is when you have to download an update, that thing. I get that.
Above the percent bar it says "Connecting to ArenaNet" and the percent bar says 0%. Meaning I can't even get to the login screen. W T F ?

Restart Pc.
Run GW again.
If that does not work... Re-install GW

I wasn't sure if the problem I am having was the same as this one so I thought I would reply on this thread before I create a new one.

Basically, I bought the game today, installed and created a character, pressed 'Play' and it seem some sort of update screen comes up and sticks there. Here is the screen:



I have restarted my PC, done connection tests and even tried with my firewall turned off but nothing seems to get the downlods to begin. It flickers from 'Connecting' to say 'Downloading 0/Kbs' bt it never actually downloads anything.

Any help would be appreciated.
