No, silly...

I believe the recent update is mainly pre-streaming for the upcoming Nightfall PvP event. However, I think the changes to the character screen are part of the implementation of the additional character slots, and for that I am encouraged. Of course, it may have something to do with a slot or two for the preview event... who knows. During the Factions preview, we didn't get any extra slots, so I don't really expect it to be different this time, though.

Here's to hoping the additional character slots are in the near future...

You didn't lose any character slots, you GAINED 2 more when you linked Prophecies and Factions.

it certainly looks as if we will have more slots available.. then again, it might just be the update for purchased slots which is meant to be coming soon..

This should have been posted in the Q&A forum.

But yes you don't lose any slots, got gained 2 more from Factions, and you most likely will gain two more from Nightfall.

Now that I think about it I can't help but worry that Anet will consider the option to buy extra slots "sufficient to accomodate the people who need more character space." After all, I dare say we got flat out jipped with the whole factions account merging BS. No matter how you paint it, it was a cheap gimmick to save a few bucks.

Even if they add account merge I wont merge my 2 accounts.

Here is my reasoning, I have 2 PCs that sometimes I would be logged in to both accounts.

I use my warrior from account one to run my new ranger from Ascalon all the way to Beacon and then Droks.

I have 2 storage.

I use my MM from the second account to get thru a tough area with henches while having my new Rit logged in on the first account.
