Superior Absorption Runes Manipulated?

For at least 2 days now, the rune traders have been empty of sup abs runes, showing last bought at 800 but quote only 25 for them.

Anyone know what is going on there?

there in demand...... prices will sky rocket..

People are anticipating that the damage reduction will be switched from -3 damage versus physical to -3 damage versus all attacks in the near future.

I have no idea why this expectation is out there, but I'm pretty sure that people are speculating and trying to take advantage of a potential blip.

If people are speculating and buying them.. then why is trader buying price staying at 25 gold and not rising?

The trader has inside info and knows the speculation is unfounded

One of my alliance mates GAVE me one because she couldn't sell it at trader. I'm gonna try selling it tonight, and I'll give her some of the profit just because I'm feeling generous.

To rise in price it has to be getting bought, so if none are there to buy...It can't rise in price.

my spectulation is that anet want to permanently remove sup abs rune... so traders no long sell them, but will buy them (ie, acting as a sink)

and monsters no longer drop sub abs rune (need to check), so eventually, all abs rune will be wiped from the game

again, just spectulating... why do they want to do this?! not entirely sure...

Ummmm....I highly doubt Arena Net would try to remove something like a rune....I bet it's just a unexpected glitch from an update or something.

Also, if they DID remove sup abs runes, they would probably also do it to the major and mino abs runes...

I had heard that it was because if you put one on each armor that there is a bug that makes u almost ivnici....I tried it with a pvp char and didnt seem to make a difference...but this is what someone told me who was trying to sell them for 10k or something like that...

That's not true. Runes, no matter the type, do not stack. One sup absorption rune is no better than five.

I would say people are stocking up on them because they perceive the price will rise in the future. They were 80K and over last year; anything's possible, right?

Incorrect, I found one yesterday.

Ppl have been buying new armor pices after the armor change last week and have bought all the sup abs, as more sup abs are farmed and droped the will returne to trader, at the moment they are sold to other players insted of the rune trader thats why you don't see change in price.

Farm and sell people.. or is farm and hoard?? I really wonder if the prices will ever get back up again..

Man, I'm scared to Salvage my 15k Glads for that Sup Abosorb, cause if I do, and cannot sell I wasted my 15k armour :S

Sup absorbs dont stack ? then why is it the only rune that says
"Stackable" beside it...

Because it's "Stackable" with Knights and Ascalon armor's damage reduction.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I think I know why they're sold out! Since the armor update, lots of people got it into their heads that Absorbtion runes aren't global (but they are). The result of this is that these people bought up all the runes to put on their armor where ever they could. Basically, you've got a bunch of people running around with 1 sup. attribute rune, a sup. vigor rune, and 3 sup absorbtion runes on their armor!!!




(Or it's just a bug. But I like my theory better )
