New install stuck on 'Connecting'...

Hi, new to the forum and GW so hi all \o

Basically, I bought the game today, installed and created a character, pressed 'Play' and it seem somes sort of update screen comes up and sticks there. Here is the screen:



I have restarted my PC, done connection tests and even tried with my firewall turned off but nothing seems to get the downlods to begin. It flickers from 'Connecting' to say 'Downloading 0/Kbs' but it never actually downloads anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try fowarding port 6112 on your router (if you have one). Could you try to find out it's name?

seems like you've got some ISP/Anet Server conflict, i can only suggest you contacted NTL and see if then can clear things up.
