observer mode channels w/pw

couple people in irc want this private chat channels for Observer mode. Even a rank filter would be ok, i guess.

I know im sick of PvE players spaming "WTS IDS 60k" or " wow look at all the level 20's, im level 7!" durring matches.

Turing off obsever chat means no conversation, but having it filled with spaming PvE players also means no conversation.
Even if we try to explaine every little thing it means we can't watch and enjoy the game with friends.

well u could pm each other.....use TS or Ventrilo.....or make a guild together..

I agree that there should be an extra channel or filter for rank 3+ players only. It would reduce BS messages a lot.

Thats a little bit like saying only people with 500k+ xp should be allowed to use local chat in pve.

Rank filter, eh? No. Unnecessary and arbitrary discrimination.

Otherwise, as Victory said, TS, Guild chat, PM, telephone...

I did choose to turn off the Observer chat though, because it was extremely annoying.

What might be cool, is if you could go to Team Arena or the Guild Hall, form a team with your chums, and talk in Team chat while observing the battle.

that seems a good idea, and that u can have the ability to talk in your team only is brilliant! GH talk too....brilliant!
plus a.net doesnt wanna give special treatment to anybody, nomatter how much xp or rank u have

The problem is that not everyone want to talk just with those they already know but also with those good behaving unknown PvP players. How you are going to arrange that? Yes, rank 3+ doesn't guarantee that but it would reduce BS messages. Besides people I know, won't always be online at same time than me when I'm observing.

ArenaNet has already given special treatment for rank 3+ players because they have much higher chance to get into good tomb teams due to rank icons they can show for everyone.
