Adventuring with Customized Henchmen - Do I get all the loot?
Siberian
Right now as everyone knows Henchmen silently take loot drops.
But, Since Nightfall's customizable henchmen are apparently tied to you in some way and your supposed to customize them with weapons, armor, etc...
Do you get the loot drops for them as well?

I dont think so. I think i'll let u see the stuff they got but not take it from them.

That would be an interesting feature. They could also make it so you pay the henchie up front for their services and then you keep all drops. That would make getting the nice item drops all the better.

No way it'll work like that. You really think they'd design things so that players are penalized for working together?
gamemagus
Haha we can only hope we can their loot, but the chances are negative.

you pay to make them better farming bots by upgrades and they will demand a bigger share not smaller
you will thank them for every blue item they give you

No way that they'll change the henchmen loot allocation system.
And no, I don't think that the drops will actually show up in their inventory, either...

1. the customizable henchmen hasnt even been confirmed by anet (unless I missed something within the last few hours).
2. how would anyone here possibly know the answer to that question?

Duly Thankful
We don't. But sometimes speculation can be fun.

Maybe you're referring to soloing without henchmen?

I am perfectly willing to let henchies have their share of the loot and drops, but they should be required to pick up the drops like everbody else
Nevin
Okay...So we'll be able to command henchies now and costumize them. I'm all for this personally, but how will they adress other chapters? Will customizable henchies be able to cross into the future and past chapters? This brings another problem, what happens when someone with Nightfall groups with a person who has Nightfall costumized henchies? And what if the henchies are a Nightfall only thing, will future chapters degrade back to the dim witted henchies? This is a huge dilema as you can see, and I have no clue how Anet will adress it.
QuiteRLY
Probably just the current chapter and any chapters then on. Simple enough. I don't think they'd upgrade something only to degrade it.

This "information" was taken from EB Games' webpage for Nightfall, though ArenaNet has plainly stated, through Gaile Gray, that this information is unofficial and should be considered false until and unless ArenaNet verifies it. Those aren't the exact words, but it's the same effect.
This is to prevent people from getting their hopes up, only to find something isn't as a third party said, and then accusing Anet of lying. Unless ArenaNet says it, we can't assume anything.
I'm all for customizable henchmen, but I don't assume anything. Unless ArenaNet says it, I don't believe it. Others may, but I'm just wary :P
