Yes... I would agree with you that it is a rather nice and unique artifact, but I still would like to see a pic of the item if you please...

Yes it is rare, and yes, it could be worth more than what has been quoted so far; especially to a collector of rare focii.

The PCs given (i.e. 30-50k) are estimates of what casual players would pay for such an item, regardless of its rarity. As to what a collector is willing to pay, such an estimate is beyond me.

In order to find out whether the item will get much more than the PCs given, you'll have to put it up on auction.

Ps. For your information, I am a collector therefore I do know what I am talking about as I have gone overboard more than once when it comes to the acquisition of an item. However, my interest is only in rare or common perfect req 7 or 8 focii (as well as a whole bunch of other items) which is why I am able to provide you with a PC on the artifact.

Once again, very nice artifact but too bad it's a req 9...
