What people are paying for when buying an item are the inherent mods, so if you sell it, don't bother wasting your cash on upgrading it at all.

That is how the sword dropped, so is that worth more then the 55k or is it still just 55k although it has a 20/20 mod on it? Thx once again.

Well, if you want to take the chance of salvaging the sundering, I think it'd still be around the same price. But then there'sthe chance to get the +7, and thats worth less than a k :/ I'd try to sell it first, and last resort to salvage.
