Anyone Know what happened to Superior Absorption runes?

Ok so last night I went to the rune trader to purchase Superior Absorption Rune. And much to my suprise the rune was not there. WTF? Any else notice this weird occurence? Is this some part of a weird conspiracy to raise the price up or has the low price actually caused it to vanish? Comments welcome.

I'm not sure. Conspiracy or not, prices will definitely be on the rise until they appear at rune traders again. I saw a guy in Drok's selling for 20K. Back to the "good old days," I guess.

all those people who got nerfed by the armor BUG FIX are making new armor which require new runes.

demand spike has outrun the supply but as soon as they get their new armor done the price will drop again since the increased drop rate hasnt been changed

i bet ontop of manipulating the market they are claiming that they will stack (WHICH THEY DO NOT!!!).

Im not sure but i can bet that this is happening...

It MAY have something to do with nightfall ( may interfere with dervish/paragon runes, therefore getting edited)

Actually, it's a bit more than that. It appears that quite a few people realized that there was a dramatic decrease in the price of superior absorption runes right after the nerf. Many people took advantage of that, with the expectation that the price would eventually rise as people overcame the initial shock of the nerf.

This is very similar to what happened with the price reset for runes several months ago. As prices start to stabilize, you'll see the runes come back to the trader at a pretty high price, and then it will gradually go down. For those who can't wait, they'll have to buy them from those that bought them earlier, at a nice profit (I've seen them selling for 15K to 25K in the market, when they were likely purchased at below 1K)...

It was a very wise move by those few that took advantage of the situation. Too bad I didn't...

its not just the high demand, its the fact that when you find a sup absorbtion rune, the trader will only give you 25 gold for it.
if the rune was simply sold out instead of bugged, the price would be higher.

ooh good point talon... The fact that the trader will only give you 25g for it shows something is up. They could be editing it to say (non stackable)?

Basically, most of the hardcore Warrior users were putting their Superior Absorbtion on their Knight's Boots because that way they could switch out armor sets without having to repurchase new runes (this being back when the Superor Absorbtion runes went for ~100k). There is now a high demand for them because everyone has to replace boots that are no longer optimal, and the runes are getting deleted in droves by failed salvages. Just give it a bit of time and everything will be back to normal.
