What I would like to see in the official Guild Wars store:

- [EvIL]Danjang action figure (fighter hench style, exact dye job, Danjang's real face on the figure)
- wigs in the likeness of [EvIL]Soul Wedding's awesome hair
- made to order, life size guild cape replicas
- life size Guild Wars weapons made of durable foam
- auctions for left over Guild Wars posters and props from live events
- Gaile's chocolate truffles
- a t-shirt with the Frenzy icon on the chest (no text), GW/A.net Logos on the back (better yet, a t-shirt w/ Frenzy face Kriegar)

EDIT: added more

Something I'd like to see is the ability to buy the special weapon skins (Coke Items/GW 2006 items) - they have nothing over in-game items except the skin...mainly because I can't find anywhere who stocks the GW 2006 Edition and all I want from that are the weapons

No items that can be traded or sold to others ingame.
NO STORAGE UPGRADES, fine if they are only available for the latest chapter but not for sale.
I really could care less if vanity items are sold in the store since it just makes it that much sweeter when I kill the guy with the uber rare skin item with my collecter bow or plain old longsword anyways!

Would love to have shirts, coffe cups, plushies (huge burning titan), other cool GW stuff to wear and display. Full scale replica weapons (I colect swords, axes, other weapons).

Basically, no extra content. If I have bought the game then I have a right to the content just like everyone else. I shouldn't have to pay extra to see a part of the game that I have already paid for.

Special Item groups (IE Coke Items/2006 Items) all instantly customised and not able to enter the trade screen.

Extra Character slots

Extra Storage slots

Things I don't think should happen:

Buying gold, sellable items, Unique statswise items.

Buying everything new/access to areas. I just think this is a step in the wrong direction for Anet. It's great we get free additional content, such as sorrows furnace, Tombs and the like. While it might get tempting to charge for such things I really think it's the wrong angle to take. Occasonal free stuff is great.

buying anything like obsidian armour, crystaline swords, dwarven axes, max dammage sickles etc. New skins are fine, but those should stay as is.

Remember the outcry when it was announced that extra storage was for factions owners only? (btw, I own Factions)

I think a lot of people will be very angry if the store starts selling extra storage slots, hair stylists & other items that most people have been asking for for the past year. This is not to mention special skins for weapons & armour which is often the only goal for many players.

& Of course if people get angry enough, they will leave.

I would offer as little as possible at the store - otherwise Anet may well cut off the hand that feeds it.

I would hope they don't offer additional storage for RL money. In a way that is a game balancing change.

Currently everyone has to make a decision of salvaging/merchanting things when their storage gets full. This limits the number of armor sets, weapons, upgrades, etc that anyone can hold onto. If you were able to purchase additional storage slots wouldn't that give you an advantage over people who choose not to?

Think about it, why do you want extra storage? Is it because you want to hold on to something that you might have a use for at a later time? Everybody faces this dilemma. Being able to buy your way out would give you an in-game advantage over those that don't.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have more storage, but I don't want to pay extra for it. I think it should be available to everyone who pays for the game.

To some degree this also applies to buying extra character slots. They essentially increase your storage capacity if you use them as mules. But I think those make more sense as I believe the motivation for buying those would be to play a new character without deleting an existing one that you have gotten attached to.

The only thing that I think Anet should offer at the in-game store is out of game items.

Yes to:

Slots
Storage enchancements
New non-core profession skills bought from the guildhall trainer - I expect that they won't be supported but I expect a lot of people would be willing to buy for their non-core characters. Say £3-5 for sins skills (say 50 a time, 5-10 elites).
Music

No to:

Skins or ingame items
Gold
Unlocking skills
Titles
Old promotion items

I want a Stepn action figure. Preferably one that's mid-cast of Aura of Displacement after getting it with Revealed/Inspired Enchantment.

I'd also like to see unlocks, and additional, perhaps promotional item skins. People may say this is flawed because it comes down to whoever pays more $'s has the best skins, but here's the thing; People who exploited features/bugs, or farm all day because they have no/little interest in PvP generally have the ability to buy these skins, whereas those who pretty much exclusively PvP do not. With the very occasional luck finding something of decent rarity with a decent mod in the Hall of Heroes Chest, there are no PvE-style rewards for PvP, as I believe there should be.

That's a class idea - not that I've played chess in the last 10 years, or will in the forseable future due to Guild Wars, but still.....that would be cool.

I think a world-wide food/beveridge ordering system to allow munchies to be delivered-to-your-door! I for one can't be bothered to make dinner when I get in in the evenings - I sit and play Guild Wars until I go to bed!!

Just to reiterate what other people have said - yes to buying character slots & storage, and maybe you could pay to unlock a larger rune of holding at merchants...I don't know, say pay £1.50 per rune of holding, and 500 in-game gold to get you a 20-capacity bag...

Maybe you should offer the chance to buy your guild wars costume for real life! Maybe then y ou would have a lot of lads wearing short elementalist mini-skirts, so...maybe not, probably don't want to start a lot of gender confusion issues!

I don't like the suggestion about buying Green weapons...it DOES annoy me that I don't have the one I want - but I WOULDN'T want to just buy it, because that would mean there is no challenge, what could be done however, is to pay, say £0.75 to 'unlock' the skin of an unusual boss' staff, Kurvie Firewing's staff for instance, so that you can buy the 'bog standard' version of it and apply staff upgrades... I noticed someone on another thread asking for that skin...

that's all for now...

I have no issue with purchasing certain upgrades to my account. However, I am against purchasing anything that will influence the in-game economy. Anything sold should be "customized" for the ACCOUNT and not just the character.

As a devoted player I am willing to "support" future chapters through the store method... ONLY if the content improves back to a level equal to or greater than Prophecies. The content was adequate as a stand alone product for the asked price. Factions on the other hand was far inferior, including the story line that a 10 year old could have written. A-Net you have many adult players we need complexity and difficulty.

DO NOT ADD
* CE Upgrades, they are suppose to be limited in number
* Weapons
* Gold
* Anything thing that benifits the entire GW community ie: auction houses, they should be available as a game upgrade to all.

PLEASE ADD
* Account Merge
* STORAGE STORAGE STORAGE
* New Dances
* Log-in Screen backgrounds
* Character appearance and name changes
* Character slots (Confirmed)
* Merchandise
- Skill pins (Boy would I love a set of those)
- Coffee Mugs
- Plushies
- Mouse Pads
- T-Shirts
- Hats
- High Quality Game Maps, something on linen and frameable (No ANET or GW logos). I am thinking $100 and up type quality
Also, dont forget the ability to purchase items with gold instead of cash for people, like younger players that dont have CC's, Paypal or parents willing do dish out cash.

I keep getting in dilemas about what should be available, I definately want character slots, definately don't want -buy-yourself-better items( uber strong stuff) and definately don't want to have to buy eye candy. I guess we'l all wait and see Guildwars hasen't disapointed me big time yet, theres a good chance it'l stay that way

I think the character slots are a great addition, And buying future chapters that way is one way to go. However I am really not comfortable putting my billing information on the internet, wether it is bank account numbers or credit card info, I was really hoping that there would be like a card I could buy in a real life store, (read walmart) with a key I could add for character slots, and When i buy nightfall I will be buying it from walmart (if you guys decide to do a physical distribution).
I don't like the idea of purchasing extra storage. I mean first we thought it was a feature of the game, then it was content that was an included update for a game (factions's material tab) now people are talking about Purchasing more storage. The reason I play guild wars is to save money.
I don't have any other ideas that seem feasable for a store, without being detrimental to gameplay. I agree with the No items for cash, I would rather you not sell obsidian shards, and ectos. that would be almost like selling gold for money..
Even a thought I had about a real life cost to uncustomize a weapon so another of your characters could use it would be abused, and then the item can be sold for 100k+gold, so it is still like selling gold for money.
So far I like what you are doing with the game, and i am sorry that i dont have any other suggestions for what could be purchased. But you guys know what is best. You keep it up.

Wow - lots of ideas on this thread - some good some bad!! Here is my 2 cents:

JUST SAY NO to:
- Ability to buy uber stuff!
- NO UAX Purchase Option (learn to earn it)
- NO Title prucashing (learn to earn it)

Just SAY YES to:
- Account mergers or even trade-in for slots (e.g. 2nd account Prop+factions turn in with maybe $20 in cash to translate to 4 to 6 EMPTY slots - so not a big deal on actually "merging").
- Character slot purchase (Already confirmed - YAY)
- STORAGE (2nd storage NPC or additional tabs)
- T-shirts, maps, etc!
- Ability to purchase GREENS Only for GW Gold

Just my 2 cents!

I LOVE THE Game - Sometimes I feel like it LIVE it too much!

I'd like to see: Account-wide improvements
- Additional character slots - no brainer.
- Name changes - I personally don't need this, but I can see where this is useful.
- Account merging - again, I don't need this, but others do.
- CD Keys - for future/previous campaigns, self evident.

I won't want to see: In-game content
- Items/skins - I worked to look unique and many others have too - why should $9.99 be a substitute for our work? Doesn't seem too different from E-Baying GW gold.
- Minipets - same reason as above.
- Additional areas - it'll make me wonder if those areas were meant to be in the original game, but instead were detached and sold off for additional profit...
- Auction house - a long-overdue fix for a horribly non-existant trading system, I won't be paying for it.
- Storage upgrades - more or less the same reason as above.

No too all core features which were said to be free to all to begin with. That includes storage.
No too in game items/armor/capes.

Possibly yes too in game add-ons such as SF 9as long as Anet doesn't act like Bethesda and charge $10 for 10 minutes of game play... worst and stupidest business choice I have ever seen (player mods far surpass the junk Bethesda was peddling). Would have to be of SF quality to be purchasable though and not short and straight forward like Tombs.

My question really needs to go back to the Devs for an answer: What is the purpose of the ingame store? Is it simply an interface for the Anet online store, or is the purpose for adding only to GW?
