What would you like to see in the Ingame Store?

Okay, here are the two big things I want to see in the game store:

*A secondary Program or Advanced Option in the game to Adjust Appearence of your character.

I'd like Anet to dedicate a few employees to make a small team of adding new faces and hairstyles so you can make advanced adjustments on new and old characters alike. While future chapters can still retain new looks for their characters this advanced option would allow you to access all of the hair styles and faces regardless of which chapter they were born. Also the ability to add extra detail to your characters (scars, birthmarks, tattoos etc.) and allow you to rename your character.

* Mini "Sorrows Furnace style" expansion packs.

There is still a lot of map left for Tyria and Cantha to be explored.

A huge vote for more storage space.

Everyone in the game runs out of storage space long before they want to. I'd pay for that.

Really... I'd pay good money for it..

Seriously.. Make it happen and you get my money.. Again

Please don't make me beg.

I think I posted my ideas in a different thread, probably the wrong one so...

One idea that my roommate and I thought would be neat is mini-content packs. There is a thread on these boards calling for the opening up of the Catacombs to post searing Ascalon. So if they had some small parts of content (map/zones) they might release it as in store buyables (fairly cheap cost hopefully but to implement non-needed content you have to offset cost), it wouldn’t really be something to add to the story line and almost defiantly not elite zones (since this would make people feel like they have to buy it) but just some random areas that people may be fond of (Catacombs!).

Also maybe buyable dances, that any class of character can do (possibly - The Timewarp, Macarena which would be fun to see large groups of people dancing), payment would hopefully offset the cost of making these and implementing them.

I will pay $5-$8 for:

Fully customizable guild list as a guild leader's aspect.
Where i could add another leader, add various ranks & the rights of individual rank. Also to hide/unhide status like guildie kicked, invited or left the guild.

As there's far less guild Leader to members ratio, this feature will only be last thing 'to do list' in anet list. That I cant wait till it happen, so I think is reasonable to pay for it.

I dont know about paying for something like that Zen, personally I think it should be another in-game thingy we get rather then having to pay for it.

But that's not something that would really effect in-game play, it would allow for different name ranks and all that stuff.

More storage space plz.

I'd also buy customized weapons. The same weapons you can get in the game, but without having to pay 100k + x ectos. I'll never have that much gold since I don't farm and I give unused gold and green weapons to guildies and allies.

How about being able to merge accounts. I know many of us have multiple accounts and now that you can have a ton of char slots it seem plausible to me. 10-20 bux to merge 2 accounts seems reasonable to me. I know there are other factors to consider here but I really feel this would please a huge amount of diehards like myself.

More storage would be a great addition to the store. 10 bux for double storage?

Well, I have both Prophecies and Factions CE enabled on my account with 10+ character spaces. Believe me, there's nothing special about them beyond the e-motes. I also have 2 Nightfall CE's on pre-order from EBX-games. I would have preferred to go through the Online store, but I just don't see ANET taking the initiative to make it happen.

On a side note, here's something I'd like to see in the online store: Regional character switches/moves. We are allowed to switch US/EU/Asia/etc. servers a few times, then it becomes permanent. I would pay real money to get this counter either reset or become unlimited. This way, my character can move regions as I see fit. Once again, this is free profit for ANET since no new product has to be coded/delivered.

Gold.

And seriously, why the hell not? All gold is good for is looks anyway.

Just stop the ebayers, and offer gold for cash. Go on, Anet, you know you want to!

EDIT: I know many people object to this. So, I'll amend my request if it's too unpopular.

I would pay real money for customized armor, customized weapon skins, hairstyles, etc. This is what I would spend my Gold on anyway, so it might as well be available from the Store directly. It's customized, so it won't effect the economy.

People say it's stupid to pay real money for fake things.... but we all do. We all spend money for Computer Games, which in a sense, are not real. Paying real money for things inside a game is just an extension of that. As long as said items don't unbalance the game, I see nothing wrong with it.

I have not read through this whole thread so I’m not sure if this has been proposed – somehow I doubt it though…

I would like the store to offer a full set of Guild Hall NPCs. I would be willing to pay a few dollars for them. Maybe $5.00 - $10.00 for a full Guild Hall of NPCs. Since these NPCs are available in towns I don’t feel they should be any more expensive.

In the Guild Discussion area of these forums I have written about the fact that I have started my own guild of one that will never have more than 2 or three people in it.
If I should ever join another guild again I will keep my second account in my private guild to keep it alive. Because of the small membership I will never have the ability to have a full Hall of the available NPCs.

After buying the Storage agent and the merchant my style of play ensures that I will never have enough gold to buy the remaining eight NPCs at a total of 445k.
I’d like to have the ability to fill my Guild Hall.

The ability to do this will not affect anyone in-game, as the ability to buy armor or weapons would, but it would make my in-game experience much easier.

sry but I don't agree with you there,

we PAY for the full game, adding some expansion packs like sorrows furnace and asking an EXTRA price for it is not fair at all !!!

It's a slippery slope, but if these are cheap ($5 - $10), and small areas (like Sorrow's Furnace) it would not be so bad.

Obviously, if Anet begins purposely skimping on the content of future Chapters to sell these Expansions, that would be bad. But some people want even more content then is available right now. And if they can spend a few extra dollars to get it, why not?

Think episodic content, like Half-Life. As long as it's totally optional, and doesn't give anything new that would unbalance the game.

the only thing i can ever imagine me buying from the ingame store would be a Divine Aura upgrade. other than that, im perfectly content. and based on replies i've recieved from e-mails sent to customer support, you don't intend to allow us to pay the difference between a normal and collectors account for it, and anything more than that difference would be a rip off in my opinion, so hopefully you change your outlook on the matter.

again I dissagree...

all these stuff you guys are proposing is the same as ebaying... you give real money for ingame money...

I've red here many ideas about updates ppl should get for free as an update, but selling stuff like GH npc's, armours, "sorrows furnace" kind of updates, will just ruin the game.

I've always thrusted on most things Anet does, but if they will bring out more and more stuff to sell just to make some more money, I won't do this anymore.

What I would like to see are GLOBAL things, things wich need extra manpower/working hours/server space/...

- Ability to change your name of a character
- Ability to change appearance of a character
- buying more storage space (since this needs more server space, but this doesn't mean that they need to find a better way for storage of event items and armour types)
- ...

Yeah, I hear you. I'm not estatic about this suggestion, and I don't recommend Anet do it, if for no other reason, than because people will accuse Anet of "ripping us off."

Can you imagine if they released Factions, and then offered more area for $$$ afterwords? That would cause quite an outrage!

Fine - disagree all you want - it's your right to do so, all i am asking for is the ability to outfit my guild hall the way I want to.

If I farm 8 hours a day to raise money I will be penalized and my drops will lower. I will never raise the several hundred k I want.

If I even thought about looking at ebay for gold I will be banned.

The Company ( its a business ) has already shown that it is willing to change the *rules* and increase its profits by selling things that we all would have thought they never would have.

They are willling to change their minds and sell things to us, BUT we had better not look elsewhere (ebay, etc).
Pvp Skills? and character slots? real world money for skills that can easily be got ingame. and Slots - explain to me please why I lost 2 slots when I combined my Factions account with my Prophesies account - yet within a few months I could buy those same slots back - but for real world dollars.
The answer-Its economics - if they think u are willing to pay you can get what you want.

They have stated they wont sell ingame features like weapons or armor in the store. The guild hall npc's seem as though they would go along with those. Also, I'm not sure if that would even be possible as it's not something they can just "apply" to your account.

My suggestion to you: have your whole guild chip in some cash

Im sure they could come up with some sort of *token* that could be placed into the first character I log in with and could in turn be traded in to the guild lord for the NPCs - anything is possible

/not signed for account merging: reasons - 1) The potential for abuse is too huge, scammer gets your account and merges it then you're never going to get it back. 2) Why on earth would anyone PAY money for this??? I've got 2 accounts, I dont want to merge them, it's usefull. Merging accounts should be free!!! but it should also have a LOT of checks in the system to ensure that same person owns (not leases) both accounts.
/not signed for pets/CE upgrades/auras/ANYTHING in game customized or not
/not signed for storage upgrades or more storage these should all be handled in game as was the materials storage...
/not signed for guild hall special upgrades.

however,i would like to say that i would be very VERY disapointed if A-net started making us pay for things such as an auction house,in game NPCs,and what not.im not sure i would continue playing very long if such things were implemented. what i would like to see,im not sure actually i would like more storage and i appreciate the extra char slots.

Yeap, instead sell customised tokens that can be traded at NPCs for customised items, ie: FoW armor token, Crystalline sword token, etc.

Since these items are customised they do not affect the economy in *any* way.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but I haven't the time to look through 11 pages...

The option of being able to merge accounts for a fee would be fantastic. My Prophecies & Factions games are on 2 seperate accounts, and that's really inconvenient (and the result of a boyfriend trying to be helpful and installing Factions for you).

So, yea. Being able to merge existing accounts would be excellent. And a relief.

Since it is a store how about (non in game) collectables. Things that can be ordered and sent by mail. Example- Official Bumper Strips, Collector pin sets, Key chains, T-shirts. Figurines (like mini pets). Mini collectable weapons Example- Dwarven Axe or Dragon Sword / Ugly stick etc… Or maybe for a premium you can request a character from your account to have an exact miniature made with name plate and titles earned. Id love one on my desk how about you?

i would KILL to have character transfers.
as someone who bought several accounts (all legitimatly through play NC) ages ago, and who has multiple characters spread through different accounts, i would really, really appreciate being able to move them around to different orders, now that we can purchase character slots.
i dont regret getting a seccond, and third account, but it would just be nice if i could move the characters around accordingly to re-organize my character layouts.

Hi,

I would like more dancing emotes, and a chance to buy glowing hands from the original collector's edition of Guild Wars. I think that maybe not plush toys, but actual figures of the sub classes would be kinda cool. I think the pin thing is awsome too, seems like they are selling like hot cakes on Ebay.

Maybe shirts saying something like, "I went to UW and all I got was this lowsy glittering dust". Things that we could relate to, and laugh at. Maybe bumper stickers saying, "I'd rather be playing GuildWars".

Merchandise would be great customized with skill art or guild emblems etc.

Coffee mugs
hooded sweatshirts
t shirts
hats
keyrings
The list could go on and on.

I didnt read the whole thread but one I didnt see is action figures. I would love to have a Charr or Bone Dragon on my desk.

Also art like CG rendered prints of skill art, NPC's, and all the different monsters.

As far as ingame stuff I agree that there should not be anything that would be tradeable to other players anything you purchase from the store for your account should be only for your account. However im not wholey against the idea of being able to buy weapons and armor for my characters. I feel if someone is willing to pay for it then they should have the right to do so. Same goes for mini pets I so want a mini Glint.

yeah so this has no affect on the economy right....

so suddenly every noob has a perfect crystaline and fow armor. so then anyone who has a perfect crystaline, its now worth squat because everyone has one. so their 100k+300 ecto item is now worth a token.....

but no this doesnt affect the economy....

I agree with MistressYichi. That would have a *drastic* affect on the economy, not only by making things like the exampled crystaline worthless, but think about it....if you can buy tokens for armor, the crafting materials for "real" armor drop....so cloth, linen, steel...shards...ECTO....

Suddenly ppl get FOW armor with "tokens", what purpose will ecto have? Errrrr none. Value plummets, people riot through LA and Kaineng....wait that could be fun hehehe

*cough* sorry

So yeah to sum up, tokens bad. 'sides I'd be pissed if ppl could get FOW so easily, I worked for mine lol.
