What would you like to see in the Ingame Store?

I haven't read the whole topic, so if this has been said before, I'm sorry.

Don't add anything to the store that can be traded among players. No mini-pets. No new weapon skins. No. You can still buy your way into the game via eBay but that's more often then not shunned. If you guys sold stuff that can be sold in game, it would be like Anet supports it.

That aside, I know what you should add. All the headgear that has popped up in events should be buyable in a package. I honestly wouldent mind spending five or ten bucks to get the Pumpkin Helm, Antlers, Santa Hat, Tengu Mask, and Dragon Mask in one big bundle. Or you can buy them one at a time. I sure as heck would like a second chance to get the antlers.

Seeing as those things can't be traded, it won't damage the enconmy, and let's new players have a chance to be involved with things that are long gone.

Also, if you add something like that, custom helms you can buy and whatnot, you should also have the ability to buy it for somebody else, as an in-game present.

And if you really want to add weapon skins, make them customized from the start. Consider more gag weapons before you think about some hard core stat heavy weaponry. Like the candy cane weapons, or the Ogre Slaying-Knife. Heck, it would be kinda neat to buy somebody a bouquet off-hand.

Remember. Customized.

Nothing to give somebody a clear advantage, and nothing that can be traded among players. Honestly, I felt that the mini-pets should of never been tradable.

More items to swap for collectables (like with monastery or imperial credits) - to encourage game play and not gold farming.

Ability to swap collectables for weapon upgrades such as "of defence" etc. Not only perfects, but +4 or 13^50's as well. Rarer drops go to perfect mods

Ability to swap a character from one account to another using in game "currencies".

Ability to "uncustomize" a weapon - to be fair this should be expensive, and only with collectables ie not for gold.

Abilty to change your existing armor skin.

Character based additional Xunlai storage page for customized items only.

More guild hall specials such as - a bar to buy drinks and a juke box to choose your own music - imagine - ingame gold lets you a hear a new track from up and coming new rock group (real life music group)

Abilty to "learn" (ie buy) a different dance emote from a new dance trainer NPC. (My ass's dance looks like milking a cow - so I dont allow him to dance much lol, at least not while anyone is watching) {How about capping a dance skill from dead dancing bossses haha rofl}

Ability to acquire an "in guild" item auction/trade listing system between guildies only.

Selling weapons or armor would be hard to do imo. To place a value on weapons when their price in-game fluctuates so much would be hard. Also Anet selling gold would not work well. Gold selling companies could undercut their prices. I know tons of people who ebay or have ebayed and none have ever been banned. It seems the risks are relatively low. Therefore people would still be tempted by the low prices.

I know this thread is full of great ideas (and some bad ones).

IMO, there's only 3 things that really need to be added to the ingame store atm:

1) Storage

2) Storage

3) Storage


Not just generic "add a space", but specialized storages space. The developer's hit a home run with Faction's materials storage (although dye storage should have been included). I'd like to see an extension of that with a "weapons", "armour", or "<insert whatever>" tab.

Extra Storage seems to be the general desire.

I do have a beef with all the people here asking for "divine auras" or "backup dancers", or any other bonuses that came with the CE editions. If they really want them, they should track down a copy. I am new to GW, and I have made the effort to aquire all CE editions. Don't cheapen that with selling CE goodies to the masses for mere $$$

Gaile, I'd really like the option to pre-order from the online store. It saves a lot of hassle on shipping prices and delays.

All I would want from the bonus pack are the in-game items.

I would like too see new faces and hairstyles because they keep reducing in every chapter...

When I bought GW Prophesies it came with a bonus of an Eve poster, mousepad, and T-shirt. I wear my GW shirt all the time and I would love to be able to buy another one when my current one wears out.

I would love to see additional shirts, posters, mousepads, cloth maps, coffee mugs, blankets, pillowcases, welcome mats, calendars, salt & pepper shakers, plushies, mini statues of characters (I'd love a mini Prince Rurik or Devona sitting on my desk) or foes, and the cards used for sealed play available at the GW Store. Someone in an earlier post put a Luxon vs Kurzick chess set with jade and amber pieces..... I would buy that in a heartbeat!

Also, I had the opportunity to buy the CE of GW Prophesies, but instead I bought the standard edition because I didn't know if I would like the game. I bought it just to play with my boyfriend (who has the CE). Now, I'm kicking myself because I love this game and have bought the CE for Factions and have preordered the CE for Nightfall. I'd be willing to shell out $70+ to buy the original CE with all the goodies (yes, the Divine Aura, too!) just so that I could have a complete collection. It's impossible to find one that's still usable anywhere! And I'd rather give my money to Anet, anyway.

I'd like to buy a Rhino's Charge. I wouldn't pay a lot for one, but maybe it would be cool to have that in the store, and other special weapons.

I have seen many people suggesting storage space upgrades. While some bonuses like an Armor Locker or a Dye tab would be doable, I still think that we should be entitled to more storage space for free since we will be spliting it between at least 8-9 characters for those of us with merged accounts. I don't consider myself a packrat, and I'm still resorting to using my less-payed characters as mules.

Other than that, I say mostly asthetic upgrades for the store, along with access to other things like old pre-order items and some holiday collectables.

Me too. I'd happily pay a few quid for that. Right now, it's all too easy to run into someone with the same looks. And I chose the face and hair shown in the avatar over there (<-------<<<) becuase I figured it was different

Doesn't looks bad tho..But I would like to see more guildwars goodies like the stuff that's in the Collecters Editions.

well for that maybe anet can open up an item mall were they sell cool decorative items(not for combat) just for decoration maybe fireworks and stuff.

I would like an option to buy less lag, and smooth events.

I am a devoted GW fanatic and I am truly going to begin searching for a new game. I just can't keep justifying the on-going disappointment with mechanics, nerfs/buffs, and crazy excuses about lag.

It can't always be "My provider" when every other game out ther works just fine. Hmmm... let me think, someone might be smokin crack, and it ain't me.

Sorry for the ramble. I didn't want to start yet another complaint thread.

1) Account merging. I bought 2 accounts before Factions was released. I did so because I wanted to have 1 of each character class for PvE, and was tired of deleting and restarting characters. Since I had 4 characters, and had already deleted 2, I didn't want to delete any of the 4 I had to make the 2 other classes I didn't have yet. A second account allowed me to have 4 more character slots, which let me make those 2 characters.

If I had know there would be an option to buy character slots before I bought my second account, I would have waited. I would be willing to pay to have characters transfered to the other account, as I am sure it won't be an easy thing to do. If it is not possible, then at least allow me to pay a *small* fee to have the character slots added to my other account, and transfer items between the 2 accounts. Then the account would be deleted, and I would only have 1 account to use, but the ability to use all my character slots.

2) Storage is possibly the best option I have heard. Many people already buy character slots just to store items on. You could limit the amount available to purchase, so one person won't have 10,000,000 storage spaces, but have 1 extra page, and each page have 1 extra row or something.

3) Art work, some possibly usable in game. The login screens, as mentioned, are something we all see. Some people love login screens that are gone now. Let us buy them, and give us an option to use the ones we want, when we want. There have been other art work that people enjoy, and you could sell. Copywrite info would be important to add to it, but allow people to download and use some of the great art Anet has made for screensavers, wallpaper, etc.

4) Although I could care less about it, the Collectors Edition items/features. The dances, weapons, auras, etc. appeal to many people, and didn't know about them when they bought the game. IIRC you can already purchase the weapons from one of those for an account, so just add all of the CE editions and all of the features for them.

5) Not something to purchase, BUT USE PAY-PAL or some method for people without credit cards to make these purchases. Online checks would even work, and many companies allow you to pay bills using an online check. There are kids not old enough to have a credit card, people with bad credit, and people in areas with little/no access to credit cards. Some of those people don't even have stores near them that offer much in the way of GW products. If the online store wants to be successful, allow more people to use it.

One thing I would love would be:

If anyone ever tryed LOTROG, when you buy etc. armor
you can see it in a window (on you're char). That would be great!

This will seem a bit off the wall. Something that won't apply to the actaul game, but how about a set of coffee cups with logos from each chapter & expansion of the game, shipped to my home.

Well, since i refuse to buy software online (I like to make companys pay for Disc's and packaging, this way if i have to change computers, i dont have to download for 3 days to get my game running again) Plus when you buy software online, you take away Human jobs, someone had to put that stuff into boxes, print literature to go into the boxes, ship the boxes, sell the merchandise.
Im a Union worker, so im not the best candidate for buying from the online store.
What i would like to see in the online store, is tangable items, T-shirts, hats, Guildwars mouse, Headsets..more things that require shipping.

The only thing I'd really like to see is available login themes and more storage space. Never really thought of anything else.

Plushies of various minis, major characters, and vekk.
T-shirts for all the classes and also humorous skill bars (also with words underneath? "<Frenzy+Heal Sig>: Your out of the group (or) I'm that guy.")

oh and let us buy min pets in the online store(non-tradable)
and how about hmm lets say the bonus mission pack to be shipped to retail store so i don't have to pay 30 bucks for something i don't want and i don't have to worry about hackers and i.d thieves

Besides... invisible armor... *cough* the above poster's input is all I really care about. I have said it myself ingame, I'd pay to increase storage. And so I bought three storage characters. Somehow, I managed to fill them up too.. ugh.. BUT! I wouldn't mind some merchandise like shirts, as long as they come in various sizes, are fairly priced, and look good.

In Maplestory, the special armors/etc only are skins for armor. They provide no additional bonuses other than vanity. But I would like to see name changing, maybe some hair/face changing too.

(this has a double effect ..people can either buy it..for having short accounts to test GW..or to get the special Weapons offered by the PoP's)
I personally would buy for example the PoP of Prophecies and Nightfall..because I was unable to preorder them, because of Prophecies I never heard that this exised..before it was too late for me...and when I tried to get the one for NF...just within 1 DAY everythign were sold out..before I could preoder -_-)
I want especially buy the NF one..for the special Dervish Scythe..which is still imo one of the less real good looking ones

- Certain PvE/PvP Max Title Unlocks (letting them become accountwide)
(when you are a pure PvE Player and have played over years mostly only PvE..then you had NEVER really the time..to play meanwhile also PvP...
When you use all you time you can give the game..to max PvE Titles for your Hall of Monuments.. then you have not the months to years of time to spent to play also PvP in the Hope to reach ever R12 on Hero Title for the Phoenix Emote nor have to the Time to play round the clock with your Guild GvG's for Champion Title or RA/TA for Gladiator Title ...
As pure PvE'er you'll never have this Time, unless u HAVE NO LIFE.
Stop driving players into Online Addiction !!! with such things that take far too much time to get completed...long term motivation yes.. but there are better ways to give players these kind of motivation to keep playing the game...without that it ends in letting Guild Wars mutate into Grind Wars...what it has become since Factions... GW has become nothing else ,than an Asia Grinder, only with difference that the players are not forced to grind, because not everythign of this grind gives the player personal advantages over others ... *looks too luck/wistom/treasure title ..(cough)*

Titles are also 1 of 2 things..in regard of the Hall of Monuments.. which take so much time of effort...that much people will stay in GW1 for long time...because players want to become first GW2 ready with their Main Characters at least with its HoM...for those special stuff veterans should get in GW2 through the HoM (whatever it will be...but the HoM has become as it was announced the one and only real left motivation for GW players)
Would there exist not the HoM and would people know not about GW2 coming..I'm sure..very much people would have left still GW cause of the more and more rising of GW becoming endless Grind/Farm Wars ... full of gold sellers and farm bots..which destroy also more and more the games economy

The game has become really insane about Minipet...each time when you put into the game such silly uber rare minipets..like such promotion pets or now the polar bears...with very limited numbers or so tiny drop chance....that people go nuts about its rareness that they want the wildest and insanest amounts for them ....
prices like 100 Platin and 1750 Ectos are NOT NORMAL ...these sums CAN NO NORMAL PLAYER pay....only farm botters and gold buyers of gold sellers are able to through their illegal actions to get so rich ...
It has to stop that such rare Minipets exist...such rare things simple must NOT exists in games like GW...because such rare thigns are the reason.. why people make such illegal thigns like farm botting and gold selling !!! DON'T YOU CHECK THIS ANET !!!???
Stop those inflatious high insane prices and sell all Minipets via Onlinshop in "Packs"

Say for example:

First Birthday Pack
Second Birthday Pack
"Third Birthday Pack" (when there will be again new ones for 3rd)
Promotion Pack (includes all the Promotion Minis includign the asian ones"
Special Pack (includes CE's, and special Ingame ones like Ghostly Hero, Mallyx ..)
Event Pack (includes all event minipets, such like polar bar, greased lightning ...)


- Other Promotion Stuff..like those Coke Promotion Items

- Uhm..how about some tech stuff.. like Micros ect for TS..that thign, that was also in the Prophecies CE

- collector figures of GW creatures/figures:

those tabs also mean, that stuff like runes, insignias ect. of same type and same strength need to become finally "stackable" !!!

Sry to say, but for me you are personally the fool of this thread...minipets are one of the biggest reasons...why the economy of GW became so broken and why GW gets more and more flooded by gold sellers and farm botters...but nothign versus you at you personally..its just about the sentence U've written...

when anet would sell Minipets per Shop..than those insane rare minipets would become more common and this would lower their insane ridiculous prices from 100 Platin and xxxxx ectos to normal prices....
If I Anet wouldn't even want this.. anet could sell the Minipets per shopo still and the bought minipets will be AUTOMATICALLY dedicated to the Account then and put onto Hall of Monuments...

this would make it senseless to sell them..because they would be as dedicated ones useless for others. AND ..because dedicated ones would become very common...they would sell for like NOTHING then maybe 1 platin very fast ...

I agree that selling stuff like minipets, storage space etc. is a good way for Anet to generate revenue without affecting game balance. People already feel like they get a value from GW (esp. coming from WoW), so I would have no problem buying fun or helpful stuff at a reasonable price.

Maybe that will be a business model for GW2. Paid content for RPGs is becoming very common lately.

Phoenix, while I don't agree that all the things you wrote were "nonsense" as suggested, I might myself suggest that you go through your very long post and try and have it make sense to read. As it stands you have absolutely no gramatical structure (don't make an excuse that english isn't your first language, since even second speakers learn proper sentence structure), and half your sentences aren't sentences making it impossible to read. I'd love to read your ideas, but at the moment it's virtually impossible to do so. I read it. Besides the BMP and preorder bonuses, which many disagree with but I personally want glowy hands, I disagree with everything you said. You can't sell titles and completely ruin the mini pet economy. They aren't MEANT for normal players. 90% of the game is meant for normal players, the super rich need something to be proud of.

Minipets aren't meant to be only somethinf for cheaters and people with No life...wehich have nothign better to do..then to play daily for like 10 hours+ and to farm...when it are at least no cheaters which let the bots do the dirty work for their lazy asses.

Minipets are meant for being collected by everyone..not only those. which got somehow rich enough to pay even the most ridiculous and most insanest prices...which some retards want for them...which are so high..that only like 5% of the community is maybe able to pay these horrendous prices.

You know, i'm just fine with what we have. Ok, true, I wouldn't mind some more storage, but other than that, no.......however, I DO think that there are some things that are available (merchandise) that is WAY overpriced...I got the GW gaming mouse, which was at a fair price, and it's a great mouse...And tees aso are fairly priced as well, but 500 euro's for a 2 gig OLD I-pod just because it has Eve on it !? I really dig it, it looks sweet, but come on, a similar I-pod without the art costs only 10% of that! So basically 90% of the costs (450 euro) goes to the bit of artwork that's on it? That's just not right.......

Gold, ectos, shards, rubies, crystalline, zaishen keys, obsidian armor, all titles. Meaning you can buy all of these

Also, I'd like to be able to buy a page of Storage without having to buy a character slot to USE as storage.

How any of my toons are supposed to play the game with 4 suits of armour in their bags, I don't know. They need somewhere to put it.
