Old thread but something has been bothering as of lately. The inability to upgrade your Prophecies account to Collector's Edition via Online Store. I'd very much like that option. No, not because I want my necro to piss green, but because I own CE copies of later chapters.

They forked out some extra cash to get the CE and additional materials. And I'm willing to fork out that same amount of cash just to get upgraded to CE without the extra content the original buyers got in the box. ArenaNet doesn't have any shipping costs, no middle men to pay and doesn't have to print the maps, manuals and whatnot again.
Basically, I'm paying more for less and bringing more profit.

Gaile i thinking some days before i've getted an Idea... What the GW-Players want to see in the In-Game Store... I've thought not that you wear cloths or something but something like you can buy for $5.00 special capes for your heroes or something that you can design by YOURSELF! or maybe paying In-Game cash for the capes but you cant get all capes.. just i mean with that u pay with real cash but you can choose special icons etc or special colors like cyan or something

We don't want to blow up the economy, so how about some things that mainly only affect the purchaser:
-Extra Storage Tabs (limit 4 additional?)
-Doubled Crafting Material Storage Capacity
-Cape Designs
-Maybe additional character faces/special accessories like earrings, though then everyone would be pissed and remake their character - unless you can somehow make it so it lets you change the items without making a new character. I'm sure you guys can pull it off, RuneScape has done it since the 90s.
-PROPHECIES LOGIN SCREEN! I know it'd be weird since back in Prophecies you only had 4 chars and they'd always be displayed, not "poof", AND the camera was locked, but I'm sure you guys can think of something.
-PROPHECIES INTERFACE! I'd love an official way to revert the UI back to its original glory without having to use TexMod - some people like running GW plain and simple without having to fire up TexMod first.
-PROPHECIES BETA INTERFACE! Even awesomer.
Also, don't, PLEASE DON'T, put the CE into the ingame store. It was limited edition for a reason, and now, even if you make it cost as much as the original CE did, it will ruin its sentimental value. I don't own the CE personally, but I urge you not to break it.

The prophecies one was brilliant, i wasn't able to get a collectors edition first time around, and the /bonus weapons are the single best things for heros, and i would love to be able to equip my Sins/Rits/Dervs/Paragons without having to look through wiki for a collector with a decent spear/daggers.

* Bonus update: Give keys that things like CE, pre-order and million editions gave, but of course, you won't get anything of the other bonus keys. You won't get things like music, maps, pins, etc. Just keys, like the Million edition upgrade once was available. 25..100€ if sold toghether. 5..25# if sold separately each one.
* Miniature pack: Can be purchased once per week, and gives the next character that login and has enough invenotry space 5 Gift boxes. Each gif box will spawn one random miniature once used, but will spawn ONLY miniatures that are not NOT currently acquired ingame (That is, NOT Birthday presents NOR rewards like Ghostly Hero, Mallyx, Polar Bear or Greased Lighting). Of course, the more 'rare' the miniature, the harder it will spawn. 5..10€
*Xunlai Marketplace access: Working just like purchasing a new campaign, would create the outpost in the Battle Isles. Everything would work like suspected in the Xunlai Marketplace gossip thread. 10..25€

For instance, I'd love an aura of some sort... I don't feel like shelling out $200 for prophecies collector's edition just for the key.

What I'd like to see is a SALE in the on-line store.
They're saving tons of money by not having to produce CDs/DVDs, artwork, packaging or any transportation costs. Why not pass the savings along to us?
I've seen prophecies on sale for $19.95 but haven't been able to get there. If the store had it for that price I'd buy it today.
If they had mini-pets for sale that weren't tradeable/sellable I'd probably be willing to spend a few bucks.

Things that I would like to see are SF like updates for a small fee or even make a team out of GW fans to make/mod new content which Anet would then cut and paste.
The amount of unrevealed map is huge and when you put your mind to it there's heaps of things that people can come up with. Come to think of it I would love to see a competion run where people thought of a small story or setting which could be the scene for the winners new content huge or small.
In unison with this competion could be another run for modders who would work on the content with a select few and in return Anet could chuck them a few duped minipets of some description.
About five years ago I wanted a bird cage that didnt exist to sell to my customers so I asked a very willing supplier to make me one for retail.
On his next trip to china he gave my crappy design to his little contact and with in 2 months I had this cage and was flogging it to every man and his dog. Now I know that my wife would nag the poo out of me if you guys had a gwen doll and just think of all the girls or guys that play GW that would want one.
Why the hell do they think nano ipods with three year old artwork on it is gonna convince me, a diehard GW fan, its worth another five hundred bucks than a new nano. Na sorry but I would rather take the GW box with me on a jog around the block or down to the gun club if im that sort of person which im not and this doesnt mean im the sort to cry myself to sleep with a Gwen doll either.

Mini-charges for every Collector's Edition bonus that can't be traded. Like Divine Aura, the disco ball/shining light, and the backdancers. I would plunk down another $10 just to have Divine Aura on my characters (a bargain considering sealed copies of Prophecies CE go for $400+ on eBay).

I mean you offer Charakterslots in the shop, but most people i know long for more inventory space. Sure you can buy character slots and abuse them as mule for extended inventory space, but that seems somewhat unhandy.
How about some purchasable upgrade for the Xunlai-Chest that gives it more space or a slider that adds a wardrobe which can carry weapon and armor.
