What would you like to see in the Ingame Store?

I hope they won't make us pay for the auction house or any other trade improvements.

With the prediction of doom aside:
Maybe special skinned weapons (no better stats or anything, just look kickass) for maybe 2-6$ (after all a new character is already 10$).
More storage
The collector edition stuff (special emotes, auras etc)
And though unlikely to happen, who wouldn't want a rurik plushie to tortu..I mean play with...

I would agree (and might even buy..I dont know til I see) that something like a cool looking armor set, or something like that wouldn't matter that much. I'm not opposed to the ingame store idea at all like my post might have implied.

Its all in how far you push it....

I really like the idea of changing the login screen. I love the Whale (only noticed he/she has two blowholes today), but change would be appreciated.

Things that a credit card needs to buy that you can't get a card with the same benefits from a store.

Such as weapons, new armor, etc.

The ability to merge my 2 accounts together would be a nice thing for me to buy....seriously.... PLEEEEEAAAASE!

That seems rather open to interpretation.

I do not need 15k armour, nor does it give any advantage, so can you also rule out that vanity items will also not be for sale?

Some things re-stated from other people:

• Ability to by pre-order items that some people messed out on
• Ability to merger accounts over ($20 for 4 slot transfer)
• Ability to buy Green items
• DirectSong Music Packs - But have your version include the music files within the gw.dat file and the DRM tied to logging in. Aka if your login doesn't have rights you don't get it.
• Ability to by Factions points for unlocking pvp content
• Ability to change your name or physical looks

I do NOT want to see

• Divine Aura/Backup Dancers from CE

(Edit) And do agree with people about if you were to buy an item, make it customized to your character(s)/Account.

I was going to suggest buying items that an items skin like a weapon, but then I thought about how buyable skins would basically be a non-bannable method of buying gold for real world cash. Basically what I mean is if I could buy a super awesome skin change, I could take a weapon with good stats, change it's skin to the one I bought, then sell it in-game to all the people that don't want to spend any more real world cash at a super high price.

So, to further specify, nothing should be sold in the ingame store that can be sold to another player. Here are a few extra ideas. Special pets. Something that will change one of your chars pets to one of the super-crazy-awesome-deluxe-zomg-huge-mega pet skins that everyone will drool over.Robots...Charr...Chibi-Ruriks :P. Ya those would be great pets.

Note: I'm talking real Charm Animal pets here, not mini-pets. And by Chibi I mean cute lil body and big ol' heads. Like this Chibi-Vash plushy

Other than character slots which we already know about, id like to see DirectSong music packs, possibly CE in-game bonuses and if there is a kind of pre-ordering system for future chapters i would like to see pre-order codes provided for free when you pre-order(and if there isnt a pre-ordering system then just sell the pre-order for $1 or free to people who have used the store before or something.)

I would NOT like to see any in-game items, gold, skill unlocks, pre-made characters, mini PvE areas or anything else like that being sold at the store. However, if in-game items were to be sold, it wouldnt be so bad as long as they are not weapons/armor and are untradeable. I just hope that the store isnt used to sell popular updates which should be free like trade improvements, storage, reconnects etc.

I'd like to see as little as possible if I'm being totally honest.

Gaile, can you give us any idea as to what Anet plans to sell?

hmmm I like that idea about the other pre-order items... I got the WarPick and the Spiritbinder/DragonDaggers- but I wouldnt mind seeing a canthan targe or something....

although like Kaya said, it kind of disrupts the people who actually paid for the CE over a year ago... my better judgement says dont do it... but my inner glory-hog says "gimme my backup dancers!"

I would like to see a chance to apply for a GW Visa/Mastercard.

What the hell... you can get credit cards with themes for just about anything.

For sale... well, nothing that should be part of the game, such as storage upgrades, which should be universal.

Possibly skin upgrades for existing weapons; not the means to purchase a perfect fellblade, but maybe the means to upgrade an existing sword to a fellblade. That should be harmless.

Holiday gift packs, such as 99 cents for a stack of Ghosts in the Box!

Of course, the means to purchase chapters in game and have the box shipped to you.

Paraphenalia... posters, mousepads, etc.

Discounted gym memberships. A lot of these hard-core players need them. Badly.

I would like to see a Guild Wars Map. I remember the mention of a cloth map before. But I'd like a huge poster or cloth map of the Prophecy and Factions Continents. Glorious in all it's detail. (If you one day do the tangible items).

For in game items I would like to see the DirectSong as others mentioned, character slots, storage, new faces, hairstyles etc., upgrades to CE pack, region changes in bulk packages () and name changes.

What I mean by eyecandy is stuff that changes appearances (or even sound I guess) Previously mentioned stuff would be like loading backgrounds, divine aura, upgrade to CE (personally I would have LOVED to have purchased the CE for both games so far but I simply didnt have the choice due to my location.. which is pretty unfair) etc etc.

What I would NOT like to see would be anything that has an impact ingame. This would be like armors and weapons, anything TRADABLE. For one thing weapons and armor would insight jealousy, which would make it's rounds and eventually end up as discontent directed at NCSoft/ANet. Anything tradable would mess up the economy as ppl would buy stuff and sell it for ingame money. This would effectively do to the economy what eBay gold people do.

Bottom line- go crazy. But PLEASE do NOT add stuff that is going to meddle with the economy or make people lust.

Minipets that are customized......so that wouldn't ruin any ingame econemy.

Oh and new faces! 4 bucks for 5 new faces for your assassin!.........pleeeaaasse!

The problem would be how to make it a one-time use only, or automatically customized. Like the Pre-order stuff, I can have it as many times as I want, but I can't sell the stuff. Or like the presents, I can sell it once but I can't get it again.

There are so many things that A-net can do, a vast untapped potential of marketing that we the GW fans will buy.
