Ability To Change Character Name (PvE)

Have you ever gotten to the end of the game and thought to yourself "Man, I absolutely hate my name!"

I know I did, so I've thought of a way of implementing a way to change your character name.

Firstly there could be a vendor or NPC in a certain town, which gives you the option to change your name.

Yes, I know there might be a bit of abuse (like continuously changing your name) but there is a way to combat this.

Perhaps maybe have a certain limit to how many times you can change your name, much like with changing your "territory" (america, europe, korea etc).

This would be much easier to implement into Guild Wars compared to other games as all your character are "linked".

e.g. If someone adds you to a friends list, they also can talk to you if you are on a different character. And all characters on an account have to be in a single guild.

Post your idea HERE. It might become an option if enough people want it, and A-Net is currently looking for things to sell in their store, so... you do the math.

Having to pay kinda sucks, I don't know how this would take "Human Effort", but then again I don't know much about gaming servers and stuff.

No you don't, anyone with basic understanding of databases may know.

Changing the character name is not a simple as people may think.

If you were to change the name, it mean you had to change all kinds of things, items assigned to the character name, armor, inventory, story/title progression, guide listing... the list goes on.

The human effort comment means it most likely impossible for them to automate the process, it means someone would physically have to search out and correct everything.
