i like everything
the hair, classes, skills, interface, tweaked options, etc
the only thing that bothers me and thats major is the intense lag im getting in RA during battle

Keep in mind the lag issue comes from people in mass numbers downloading the update. The same thing happened during the factions preview weekend event.

Could be my imagination, or perhaps a simple lag issue, but it seems that since this update, there is a slight delay between when I hit my hotkey, and when my skill actually is activated. The delay at times seems to be around 1 second... which can be very costly.

Like I said, I could be wrong, but that's how it seems, very frustrating.

I don't mind so much the rainbow bar as a character is using a skill. I think it looks kinda neat.

But the colors when a degen hex or condition come up, they are duller than they were before, I agree. That was the first thing I noticed since I monk most of the time. I mean, I can still tell that there is something wrong with my team-mate, I guess it's just something I have to get used to.

I definitely like the new colors. Overall the game looks a little more slick and polished (which it was already, but Anet's UI guys keep outdoing themselves). It might seem a bit distracting at first but I'm sure we'll get used to the changes, they're not that radical anyway.

The only thing I don't like are the minimize/maximize/exit buttons that they carried over from the Factions interface. The Prophecies buttons were OK, then they brought in the dull blue ones that look like something straight out of Windows 3.11. The new UI is all slick and glassy and shiny, but those 3 dull, ugly buttons remain at the top right corner of the screen and in some dialog boxes. The color scheme used on Slider controls (e.g., in the Sound Quality slider) is also similar: dull with huge ugly bevels.

Could we please stop screwing unnecessarily with the GUI already? All it does is make things harder to use. It's good already, stop "fixing" it. -_-

My main gripe with the new UI is that it was different and not what I was used to. It didn't take long to adjust, and once I did it was fine. I just don't understand why it needed to be changed when it was fine before.

I think ANet should distribute tranquilizer, preferrably something based on diazepine, as it's addictive and a lot of people here really need to keep taking chill pills on a regular basis, with each update.

I can't interrupt any more. When I see the colors changing I think that I have already interrupted, but I end up throwing down my interrupts while he's sitting around. Please, remove the pain.

I love the fact that you can tell when a skill finnishes casting. That way you can tell weather or not you got eh inturrupt in at the last second.

People cant seem to take change it seems, always something to complain about when something is changed. I like the new GUI, I was getting tired of the same old interface. But yeah, it would be nice to be able to pick your style of GUI. Then maybe people will stop complaining everytime ANET changes the look.

I dont mind the update, the worst things i can think of is the server lag, casting lag, and "targeting" key is gone. IE:

Im targeting "xxxxxxx"

only thing thats left is:

Im attacking "xxxxxxx"
Im talking to "xxxxxxx"


im sure the targeting was explained on 1 of the missons on the noob island, now no one can even execute it, hope its just a bug and will be fixed soon.

otherwise im looking to further updates

I've noticed that as well, been pressing keys twice as it looks like it didnt activate on the first press - fix this plz!!!

The best thing about the original update before the "fix" was the Naked Dude in Bukdek Byway, whats the story behind that then, who was he?, where did he come from? and what was his purpose apart from scaring Canthan Children, perhaps someone could elaborate on this and come up with a story relating to him

Hey everyone, I have not been able to play with the new ui/pvp weekend, anyone mind showin me some screenies of the new UI effects as im sitting here anxious to play but at work Thanks in advance.

Im just reading this and proof would be nice to view to sway my opinion so i can flame too!

I noticed the lag in skills activation too, I hope it's just a generic lag caused by high traffic during the event. As for the UI look, I find it quite good, and the fact that teams with MMs dont have to skip cinematics anymore even better.
