I'm asking if there was a change to the Ancient skales. I have read several guides about how to pull these, however they do not act they way the guides describe them.
According to what I have read, if I pull them up above the beach into that little pathway leading to it, and then sprint past them down onto the beach, this will break the aggro and they will wonder around in the path. I have tried this three times now, and every time they have acted the same way.
First of all, sprinting does NOT break the aggro. They continue to pursue me all the way down to the water, until I have no where left to run without aggroing other mobs.
Secondly, I can't pull them very far into the alley at all before they turn around and run directly back to the beach.
So was there a change to their AI that made soloing Fow much more difficult? If not, what am I doing wrong?
Solo FoW still possible?

I thought I read somewhere you have to sprint after you are leaving aggro range so they'll eventually stop.

Don't pull them at all, I'm assumin you doing it with a war.
Just run up to them once your on the same "line" with them, sprint to break aggro.
