Grr kinda mad now

So I bought 15k armor for my characters in cantha, thinking that it would be a year for the new game to come out. Thing is, I don't play much and with grade 12 this year probably won't get to play as much. Does anyone else agree that 6 months is too soon for expansions? I got guild wars because I figured it would only be 50$ a year, not $100. I just hope that any new games will have enough playability so your not buying expansions because of boredom But I will still LOVE the game

yea i feel ya i also will be going into my senior year , and am gonna find it hard to get the tiem to fit in any game time around my work, school/study, and soccer.
guess i'll do a few late night weekends

in colledge it comes in spurts, in 12th grade its the same shit for 3/4 of a year.
Phoenix Arrows
I think that when Factions came out, ANet said they were going to release one every 6 months.
Spirit House
There really is no worries, If your not prepared to buy the new chapter then do not buy it. When you have finished factions then you can get the next chapter. At least Anet is not forcing anyone to get the next chapter.

6 months is fine.
You don't have to imediately buy it, the only pressure is from you.
You could wait till 12 months then pick up the new one and the other one on budget. Mega content boost

It is too soon. Factions was lacking in some ways, and if they had time off to do it, they could develop it further. Of course, with this 6 month release schedule, it won't happen so previous chapters get left behind. It would be pretty funny if Ch4 expanded on the Canthan map, making Ch2 and Ch4 a "real" complete game instead of what Ch2 was, just an expansion.

Umm...they told us all ages ago, like last year that an expansion ever 6 months so its no shock at all. im not worried that omg i just got 15k luxon and now a new game, im worried that omg i have 4 sets of armor in my storage and a bunch of weapons with dif skins where the hell do i put it all.
i wouldnt worry too much, GW aint goin nowhere, if u cant play it for a while you can come back and it will be there.

nope can't wait for the next chapter rpg based :P

How can you possibly bit ch about getting offered more choices and more products? What if GW never comes out w/ Nightfall or any other new chapters? Then your 15k armor would stay uber forever. If you don't want the new game, don't buy it.
Vangor
Imagine though, after Nightfall and whatever the next Expansion, they will be releasing a box set for sure with Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, Whatever, for like $50, and it is not like any of those are necessary or you will fall behind the curve. I took three months off of Guild Wars, Grenth's Footprint came out, after a week of slow play I left until Factions came out, a week of slow play and now I am randomly back (not because of Nightfall but it was a nice surprise) and I just played for three days getting a lot of greens, materials, and cash, plus an entirely new build.
No remorse on that side at all, since I don't need to update my armor, my weapon only upgraded out of sheer chance that I wanted to try it and happened to like it, and my skill set is just more effective, not actually any better. That is the great part about no monthly fees and horizontal gains, you don't have to renew or deactivate your account and you don't have to spend the next two months trying to be on par with everyone once again.

well im only in 9th grade so i find it a lil sad that all of u older ppl dont realise its not about them puttin stuff out when they feel like it.
its called money, Anet dosnt charge us to play their games, so how do they get cash to fund it? they have to sell as much stuff as possible, and that means comming out with new games as fast as this still can (while retaining the awesomeness of em)

And I think we all realised that :P They are a business after all 2 Games a year, not a bad profit if its popular. But as long as content doesnt suffer, Im not one to care During the year I have much less time to play, so a chapter will probably take me till the next chapter to finish :P

6 months isnt soon enough lol. Before the original game was even released they said new chapters would be every 6-8 months so its not anything new. Im sure you can make enough time to play..
Terra Xin
how long did it take them to add in the expansion part in prophecies?
