I'm not even sure what it is. But, on a guess, it's a collector's item. If it doesn't say anything on it, just a name and a price, then it's one of those items you need 3-5 of to trade for stuff.

Actually, while your math overall is accurate, it's 50 medalions = 1 flame, 10 flames = 1 sigil
