Before the last update, when GW was minimised, or not the active window when in window mode, I could still hear sound effects. Now I can't. It is irritating to have sound coming on and off every time I switch windows when I am browsing forums or using msn, or to be unable to hear pm's.
Can anyone confirm/deny that the update caused this? Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.
No sound when GW is minimised.

Ok, thanks for the quick replies, seems to be the answer everywhere I go.
Was hoping I would be able to get it back, but oh well.

I always had sound when I Atl-Tab ed to internet. I heard the ping of a PM and could tab back into game. Now since the update this does not happen.

I guess this changed with some of the updates, and anet said they'll be adding this option later.

You will no longer hear effects when the game window loses focus. We’ll add a checkbox later to keep all audio playing even if the game window loses focus. |
