You're right. I sacrificed a bit of the punch in order to gain:
the ability to have spiteful spirit, parasite cover, etc, and end up with 6+ energy rengen and massive health regen. I have two big heals going on while I fight, not just standing, and one is a stance that works of my opponent's pressure.
The 33% loss from tigers is only while I'm attacking. I took lighting reflexes instead, as I get 33% attack speed from that instead without pushing points into beast mastery when I already have expertise. I trade off that and also gain a valuable "take it easy" time for 75% of the things after me don't happen, allowing my MR to keep my bulbs full. The loss is that I can only use it now and then, and not just "all the time" like with TF.
Since my posting of this, I subed out for barbed spear. Combined with my poison, I bag monks and casters pretty quickly with just three throws. Lighting, Vicous, Normal, Barbed. They also enjoy a nice -7 degen to their health while I hit them. And with their armor levels, I see lots of 30's and 40's over their heads per throw when using a skill. I maul their health below half in one little go and my energy doesn't even budge, allowing it all free for my defense and heal should someone call me out due to the little spats I start.
Pressure wise, It's hilarious watching a monk attempt to mend himself after every hit I make, let alone my spear and on top of that my damage. They just end up running and I just throw my bleed elseware since the duration is long and turn back on the monk as he reapproaches.
But I do understand what you're saying
Cheers!
