Could Guild Wars please stick to it's guns?

It seems like Guild Wars hasn't been entirely honest. First, they said that "functional updates" would affect even older accounts, even without the purchase of new chapters, and then the new storage option (a functional update if there ever was one) was a Factions exclusive.

In fact, in the announcement about that update, we were told it would cost no money, either in game or out.

The first is a major cause of concern, and the second is a bother but I don't really care. What bothers me most is that it seems like Arena Net isn't doing what they say they'll do, and it's making me worry that I can't really trust them.
Please, when official statements are released (or at least statements put up on the official web page by Arena Net employees), would the company please honor it's statements? It worries me greatly that it seems so much like the staff don't mind going back on their word, on both major and minor issues.

Please, if you don't have a final decision made, don't make a definitive statement. I recall that character slots were "probably around $10 a slot", and the fact that there wasn't anything definate meant I wouldn't have been upset if the price had been higer. If it had been $15 I would have thought about it, but I would not have felt like someone was trying to rip me off.

All I'm asking is that the Guild Wars staff be careful about what statements they make, and not go back on them.
