Zaishen Medallions: Here to stay or preview event only?

Perhaps this might need an official Anet response, or if someone could guide me to where they might have answered this already, I'd much appreciate it. Are the Zaishen Medallions a new part of the game which will remain a PvP reward even after the preview event ends, or will they stop being awarded once the preview event is done?

It would be great for the event will stay and the 2 new professions go, would get more people into PVP .
