the deep without "regular" taxi

Greetings, since the Europeans have a quite hard time at moment, trying to get taxis to the deeps, i decided to leave the how-to-taxi-if-youre-not-holding-cavalon, for those who might not yet know.

you have a char already standing in the deeps.
you can leave to the guild hall, and create a group of people there, then just leave back -> bringing them all to the deep.

it only works with chars wich have been in the deeps area at least once, but it works.

its not a big deal to go to cavalon and make some money out of guest inviting taxi searchers, the donation you might get will stop you from making a money loss.

why i post it: because i dont like people preventing others from seeing high end game content.
ok i understand that the guilds holding cavalon might have their own opinion about this, but i dont have to care.

just let the deep be more open as its right now, at least in europe.

regards.

This is an exploit, plain and simple.

i am not able to believe this is an exploit at all.
if so, someone from anet please do a statement.
i'll also send this to the support as a question to make it sure.
this way is in the game already since factions came out, a LOT updates came since then. so why shouldnt arenanet have it fixed already?
if you look deeper in, a LOT people already knew and uses it.

well, i'll just post the support question result once i have it, to finally clear it out forever

We've known about this (well, most of us anyway) since the begining of the Deep Ferry process. It's nothing new...

As to it being an exploit: if it is, ArenaNet is pretty slow to get on top of it and "fix" it.

If an exploit is involved..It is that people in the alliance can "ferry" people not in their alliance to the mission. And if they fixed that...It would be sad - because ferrying is the only reason that thousands of people arent complaining about the elite missions being hard to get too.

Going to Guild Hall and back somewhere by the "Leave Guild Hall" Button is an obvious and simple feature in the game..

Whether it's an exploit or not, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for ANet to "fix" it to take it away. They are working on an alternative means to get access to the Deep, since there was such an uproar a while back, so I highly doubt they will take this method away, at least until their other method of access is put in place. BTW, have you seen many people complaining to ANet about not having access to the elite missions lately ? Nope. This, along with the fact that most controlling alliances have allowed people in, are the two main reasons for it.

Who seriously cares? Its not as if people are charging for Taxis is it. Its mostly donations or people paying. The only problem i'm having atm is getting my char to The Deep in the first place so i can use the GH thing. All it means is we can reach the deep anytime we want... rather than waiting to be taken for free. They might aswell just stop wasting everyones time and make it accessable for everyone and think of something worthwhile holding for.

I certainly hope this isn't changed. There's no reason for the limited access to the only high-level content in Factions to be limited even further.

Agreed, many knew to leave a "parked character" in the deep.

ANet have said they are working on an alternative way for people to enter elite missions already so they probably dont care about this exploit(if its an exploit). Thats probably why they havnt fixed it. Or its just so minor they dont mind, or since its not PvP they dont care. They dont care about PvE much.

its not an exploit, thats how it works with all outposts/towns, and the elite mis outpost shouldnt be excluded...

I would say it is an exploit. That doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't use it though.

Using Ascalon boots for global damage reduction is now an obvious exploit (it was argued for ages if Anet intended it to be so and thier lack of fix as proof it wasn't), but I have no issue with it being used (in fact I MUCH prefered the old method along with the AoE AI change - but I still like the game a whole lot).

I suspect this is one and the same - it either is used as a stop gap or is so low on thier priority list that it isn't fixed. If you want to use the "Anet hasn't fixed it so it must be supported" just think back to a large portion of fixes. Many have been in the game for ages and later fixed.

Like other "bugs" in this class (not game breaking so really low on thier priority list - I would add in things like the mob AI on spiteful spirit, empathy, and backfire) I wouldn't depend on it if I were you, though use it right now as much as you can.

Might also reduce some of the ridiculous "LF Taxi" spammage in Cavalon and HzH

How can some of you NOT have known about this? This has been around, since the game was first released. >.> Anet was going to bother creating other entrances to Urgoz/Deep, but now there's simply no need. Why spend extra effort trying to fix something when free ferries (ty holding cities) and guild hall warping works.

If Anet had ANYTHING against this tactic, it would have been fixed back when the 12-man GvGing was patched. >.>

I don't understand why people would even need this... everytime I'm in Cavalon there's someone offering taxi services for tips.

I dont see how this is an exploit...unless you think its an exploit to transport people to towns they've already been to, from the guild hall.

I still don't see how ANYONE can think taking your party to an outpost they've been in is an exploit...it was a documented update note when it came out (at the same time as the Scarab Queen in the desert update, if I remember right).

lol the history for HzH is quite amusing and shows you the internal warfare of those who want to hold a city.
As for Cavalon, there are taxi's in europe everyday maybe not by the DTH themselves since most of the players in that guild are american, but definatley by its allies, just have to be a look out.

The only problem is that, less "leadered" european alliances are holding the cities and you'll find that its the americans that are the more dominant side in this area of the game, so its mainly down to european players in those alliances who can offer the service.

I see no problem with this "exploit". I think PVE Missions are more fun when there are enough players to choose from.

In the past we (Europeans) needed to go to international district to find other players. And even then it could take a hour before you had a team together...

During the Elite-mission weekend there were a lot more players (including a lot of newbies, but that doesnt need to be a problem when everyone does his job and listens to the experienced players ).

In The Deep you mostly see 1 type of team: warriors, nukers, monks, bip and maybe a trapper. Hopefully with a lot more people there we will also see other types of teams (at least more experiments) so that other professions also get a chance of playing there...
