What is the end game rewards for PvEing?

What are the end game rewards for PvEing?I don't want to hear it is is greens or golds because it really isn't to me there is no reward.PvPer got more rewards than PvEer and this is not a PvE vs PvP thread. What should the rewards be in case you missed I have been leaving hints around the board?I would say that once you ascend you get your 1.5K armour for free and when you beat the game you get your 15K armour for free and let there be PvP equal weapons once ascended and low the price considerably.
I would like to hear your idea but I would like ot keep this in General Discussion not as a suggestion.Thanks.

I like your armour ideas, that would give people a reason to finish. I think there should be some sort of character changing thing, to make your character look godly once you have finished the game. Even after ascending I think your character should get something done to it, like a glow or something. Thats what I think

what is the end game reward for PvE?
you have a build up character that you know how to play, with armor, weapons and skills ready for PvP

PvE should have greater goals, not just one time reward. It should offer something very challenging and rewards would be for those party members only and can't be traded.
Completing PvE is also like finishing frist basic lessons for PvP

getting to know that vizier khilbron is the lich and shiro tagachi can be killed easily with a wildblow warrior in your team.

Well end game has many rewards since if you earn your way , there is end game armor, green item of your choice, the satisfaction that you beat the game and then there is a couple titles for those that really want to beat the game to the end. I see no issue with how it is setup. And if you handle your resources with a new character start to end you should have a complete character with what you need for basic.

It is my understanding that ANet thinks that PvP is the end-game for PvE. Other than that, it would probably be places like UW, FoW, SF, elite missions, etc.

I aggree. Factions gives you a green weapon, granted it is average but it does say, "Hey, I beat the game!" You get a little party in your honor, everyone says "Thanks for saving us."
Prophecies has nothing. The king doesn't even give you a medal for saving his life.

In Prophecies you have access to high experience quests for easy skill points, a well built up character, knowledge of the game, and hopefully a decent amount of skills unlocked (or unused skill points) for pvp.
In Factions, you have access to the Divine path to buy 15k armor, you get a free green weapon, knowledge ofthe game, unlocked skills that let you Alliance Battle for your side's faction.

There is no "end game" when you're done with PvE... you're done - how else could it be?

I can sum up with 1 word "Greed"
the price of 1.5k armor or 15k armor or Fow armor wont change, asides from the material thats making it, it is the MOST IMPORTANT GOLD SINK in game, and ANET Wont give you "FREE" armor for it. If you think you deserves more for completing the game, and that end game skill quests, armor, free green item (Factions) isn't enough, then you must be too greedy.
WTF? wait, where are the proofs? oh, the newly made medallions? and the ability to gain additional faction of balth. ? lol. if you consider this PvP rewards, then the whole Guild Wars economy is PvE rewards.

There is no PvE end game, unless you move into PvP. PvP is the reward, if you choose to play it.

EBAYing your account is the end-game for many people that play this game. Who can pass up $400-700 for a rank 9 account that you have had fun playing?
I think the rewards are fine as is, and should not be changed...

There is no end-game content in Guild Wars. There is no mid-game content either. All of it is meant to waste your time while you learn how to play the game in preparation of PvP. Basically, there is no raid content in Guild Wars and Gaile didn't answer to any questions about if there ever will be.
If anything, I doubt there will be any end-game content in Nightfall either, just even more PvE grind for everyone. :]

The endgame reward for PvE is knowing you had fun. In my opinion, that's the only reward one should care about. I shudder at the thought someone would play through the game just to get phat loot or something.

One thing I aspire to have on all my pve characters is Protector titles for their homeland.

When in Dungeon Siege you get showered with elite items, when you finish the game. In Guild Wars I really never feel the need to finish it.

The game isnt finished after the pve so why need a reward?

Well it's finished if you don't wish to farm or pvp.

I think its excelent that there is no focus on completing the storyline with some amazing end-game reward.
It makes me feel ill when people say "I've beaten the game 3 times" or whatever.. You cant "beat" Guildwars, rushing through the main quests just to finish the last quest and see the last video sequence is in NO WAY completing even a fraction of Guildwars.
Giving a reward to such a person would be an insult to the quality of this game. It would be like saying ANET saying:
"there is no depth to this game after you have completed it, dont bother doing the side quests, or the bonus's, dont bother joining a guild! there is no point in exploring everywhere and capping all the skills for titles, ranks and ratings dont mean much so dont bother with pvp... you've BEATEN the game, what more do you want?.. go play something else now"
I've been playing for nearly 15 months now, I have a big guild and a good alliance, ive only got 3pve characters and dont have any FOW armor, my reward is coming on-line, being greeted by my friends and spending many hours having fun doing whatever takes our fancy! Helping characters with missions, or bonus, exploration or farming, gvg, or ha.. or FoW, UW or Fort Aspen and Dragons Throat.
To be able to log into Guildwars and say, "lets goto the Forge Master at Fissure to get a peice of armor" and within 10 minutes you've got a full team of competant players and know your gona have a fun time!.. THAT is the reward of Guildwars, not some fancy armor set or item that you can sell for gold just for rushing through the game with henchies!

Well, IMO there is no "end-game" for PvE. With a new chapter coming out every 6 months the "adventure" keeps moving along. So, rewarding the player for completing the adventure at hand is already there; there's just no ending to it as the characters will get into more "mischief" every 6 months.
PvP was the original idea for the end game, but as O'Brien stated back in Feb they realized not everyone wanted to PvP and would prefer to continue on with the PvE aspect of the game.
It realy comes down to what you are looking for though. Keeping in mind, when O'Brien said they found people would rather stick with the PvE game, Factions was almost done, so we have two games out now with the original design in place; that being PvP is what you do when you finish the story. Of course the orignal design was also that of all players finish the PvE first; but Anet later added PvP only characters. So Nightfall and future chapters will probably have deeper play that rewards the PvEers.
I think the missing super artifacts does give cause for lack luster rewards though. Such items could be made as rewards; for example a sword with a +100% dmg vs a certain type of foe. As long as the bonus isn't against "human" players then the PvP balance is maintained but it could be against dragons, wardens or whatever. Just a thought.

And since when do you have to do pve first? There is nothing that says "you can't do ANY pvp untill you beat pve". If you have never played before, you could just as easily start off with pvp as you could with pve. It might be really hard and take a while since you will have to use the premade builds at first, but you CAN play pvp first and get really good at that before you ever even make a pve character.
Also, how is having fun in pve a "waste of time"? If its fun, its not wasting time...
And raid content? Isn't that something wow has or something? GW is meant to be ORIGINAL (at least as much as possible), not copy some other game. Unless a raid is like a massive pvp where you can go to ascalon or something and everything is the same as now, exept players can attack each other, then I don't think most people would want a "raid" thing.
More pve grind in nightfall? Well of course there is gonna be new greens, but if you don't want them, you don't have to "grind" for them. You could just play through the game normally and have fun.

No offence, but the armor idea is pretty dum. Armor would have hardly any value anymore. There should always be a challenge in getting armor.

simple answer, the reward are the green weapons/protector titles, finish it in hard mode u get guardian titles...finish all 3 campaigns in hard mode u get legendary guardian title(so jealous of that title)
if there not a reward to you then, i dont know what to say(wich is a first)
if there not a reward to you then, i dont know what to say(wich is a first)
bpphantom
You get to try another primary and combo and see if you can get through the game with that too.
eloc_jcg
HardMode, a free Green item and the satisfaction that you beat the game.

don't forget: out of date and overpriced graphic cards for winning monthly gvg tournaments.
not that it really matters though.
