Can't change terrain graphics to anything below Max.

I used to be able to, but after Factions got released I have been unable to set the Terrain Graphics option to anything below Max. I haven't updated my vid card drivers (though, when I do I CAN change it, but uh it makes many other games not run ) , I've tried reinstalling the game, etc. Nothing.

If I change the option, it BSOD's me, and of course it uses that option when I reload GW so...I have to uninstall, reinstall, etc.

Its not much of a bother but I get an intense lag on the startup of matches and my PC overheats from it...

Any ideas would be good (besides upgrading my vid card drivers or buying new parts. Not enough $ for new parts, and vid card drivers = no. That makes F.E.A.R., WoW, Gal Civ 2, NWN, WC3, Freedom Force, BG2, BG1, and more not work )
