Hi,

only a question: What's the size of the nightfall update in guildwars?

(just because i have a slow connection)

Gigantic.
Actually its only("only") 20 MB, but since everyone and their mom wants to play you won't get a good speed. And then you have to decompress the files for two days. Using -image might be a good idea.

200megs. There was 12megs for the exe and over 175megs for the actual content which is downloaded in the client vs the updater. This is very much in the NOT 56k friendly area.

200 megs here and dont forget that when they have the PVE weekend the rest of the complete Nightfall game will be streamed in as well

same as Factions is on your disc even if you dont have a Factions key (Jeff Strain in interview)

Yeah. Not a wise move forcing content to peoples machines, especialy where cost of service is so important but there are many suggestions how to fix that. So end.

since they cant run multiple builds at the same time they have no other choice.

It's not small.

I screenshoted it around 167megs or so at login. I'm sure it was a bit more than that at the end. But that doesn't even include the constant updates after that, while the broken skills were giving the community a headache.

it is amazing how the people were screaming fix it now at the same time complaining when an update came in and fixed something.

IT was about 186 megs and its not hard to do with 56k. Just takes a long time.

When I had 56k, I used to let it sit overnight downloading.
