I've send an email to a support team asking them if they would be able to change my characters name. They replied to me saying that they are considering it to be a new feature they want to add. I'm just here to support this new feature, because I do really want them to make this available.
I have a really bad name for one of my PvE characters and I don't want to delete the character in order to create a new name for him. I want to be able and change his name without having to delete him.
What do you guys think about? And I'm sorry if there was another topic about this already.

This is an awesome feature idea, I'd love to see it implemented! I wouldn't mind tweaking the order of some of the words to give my Characters names additional meaning, and to suit them more after playing them.

Yes, I think it should be an avaliable feature. I hate the names of two of my PvE's. Hopefully they can implement this.

what i seriously hated was creating a warrior (named 'Plauge Dog') and not finding out his name was mispelled till sanctum >.< in order for carl to be happy, his characters names must be perfect. sadly.. i deleted plauge dog..

Just to let you know, A.net have already said this name changing idea is most likely never going to happen. Just to they way your character name is linked to all sorts of things ingame.

Maybe that's another thing they could add into ingame store, char renames, 1-5 bux each

Some players going to discriminate other people and change there name,, the environment changes ingame when this happend,,

Its definitely a viable thing to implement because Anet can allow you to change your char names if they are deemed inappropriate or a violation of the EULA. It is somewhat susceptible to abuse so I'd say there would have to be a limit on changing it (like region changing) or a cost of some sort.

/sign, and make it cost either gold or real money to keep scammers, abusers away.

Name changes should cost money (one euro?) so people won't abuse it so easily. Also there should be a delay like a month or so before you can change it again. Maybe one time change would be a better option after all?
Technically name changes are possible because Anet let you change your name if it is too offensive.

I think they shoudl charge something like 2k, and have a 1 month delay on changing the name again. or maybe a feature where a character can only change their name 5 times, once a month, then when all five credits to change the name run out, you either A) Leave the name or B) Pay something like 10k for another five credits.
