I have an idea for monsters in future chapters.
We have seen monsters where a person is riding a creature but they are treated as one monster. I would like to see this treated as two monsters in the future with the ability to target either the rider or the creature. Perhaps each one being a different profession, the rider could be a ranger or monk while the creature is a warrior casting skills that effect itself as well as the rider. When you killl the rider he could fall off and the creature continues to attack or if you kill the creature the rider could jump off and keep attacking.
We could have a hydra where each one of its heads could each have different skill sets. One head is fire, one is air, one is earth. This would make it more challenging to counter the skill sets. As each head is killed it would just fall limp while the others continue to attack.
Let me know what you think of this idea or add on you own ideas.
Thanks for reading.

Would it be double drops for each monster killed, the rider and the ride? Mobs would certaintly get harder seeing you killed 1/4 of it now kill the rest of the 3/4. Than move on to the next one in the mob, I like it .

Well, at least for bosses this idea would be very good. The bosses in GW are just a joke. They are almost as easy as common enemy.

What would you do if the creature flies (assuming it can) over an unaccessible area (the sea, a crack in the landscape etc.) and dies there, where would the rider go?
Assuming they can't reach any areas the players can't get to I think it's a great idea, and really hope they use it.

But the thing with the hydras... I think it would be really great as a special boss (ie. Kunaavang), but for normal ones it would make them extremely difficult. Honestly.. I can't imagine how awful it must be to fight 6 hydras who can cast three spells at once each.
-edit-
Not to mention the clutter a normal fight would be if you have 18 targets instead of 6.

Well I would hope that if the creatures are 3 times harder to kill then there would be less of them.

Shock some life into this thread.
Come on folks is this a good or bad idea. Does is need a modification or is it crap to start with. Let me know.

I think having a rider type monster or a tripple headed 3 part monster would be great, and there already is a few effective techniques to kill them. With Dervish, they could run up and slash all 3 heads at once, and with an elementist, the beast and the rider would get hit by a single AoE spell, a very effective technique against a monster of this type would increase the value of these attacks as well.
If this could be done, a Rider/Player type class would be a great idea too, since this would also increase the value of AoE damage and add a new element of combat to the game.
