I'm after survivor level 2 and I'm a bit unsure about what counts as a death. Here's the 2 specifics I need to know.
1. In Vizunah square, all characters die and are resurrected in the last cutscene, does this count as a death?
2. If a mission objective such as keeping Togo alive fails, and he dies, all players fall on the floor as though dead, and the mission ends. Does this count as a death even though you didn't actually die.

Neither of those count as deaths, I think. GuildWiki says that the first example doesn't count as a death, and the second happened to me, and I didn't add anything to my death count.

also when you die at the beginning of the game when the headmaster shows u the res portal, it doesnt count as a death either

I think deaths when failing to save a hopeless npc count as a death give me a moment to test this

Neither of them count as deaths. Only when you are actually killed by actions of others, or yourself, with sacrifices, do the deaths count. Any failed objectives do not result in your death.

I just received a death from Vizunah Square, either from being killed by Shiro, or from being brought to zero health by the released minions after I was resurrected again. My character did not fall to the ground in death during the cinematic, but he does have a single death now, whereas before I was going strong on my survivor title. Of course, I'm a little frustrated.

On a side note, using "/resign" doesn't count as a death either.
