Elite Weekend Event August 4

Upcoming Weekend with an Elite Theme 31 July 2006
This coming weekend offers special bonuses for players who enjoy missions, roleplaying, and unique items. Factions players will be granted access to all Canthan elite missions the entire weekend via an NPC in Kaineng Center. In addition, there will be double rare loot drops within Canthan Elite Missions during the weekend! This exciting weekend will begin on Friday, August 4, at 12:01 a.m. PDT (07:01 GMT) and will end Sunday, August 6, at 11:59 p.m. (that's Monday, August 7 at 06:59 GMT). We hope to see you there!

Elite Missions flooded with lvl17 Assassins! Awesome.

This is Kaineng Center we're talking about. That means level 12 assassins. But as long as we can still make our own parties it's all good. Although I'd be tempted to group with them just to see their reactions...

Oh boy...with double rare loot they mean greenies? Or also golds and chests and stuff?

You all will be granted access to the elite missions throughout Cantha, we ferry everyone into Urgoz anyways, so no big deal there.

Damn you anet, damn you anet, damn you anet. They've been talking about an alternate method of access for months, and now they finally decide to add it in for one weekend with double rare drops. Why couldn't they have done this last month when I still had my good computer .

It seems that I always miss any and all chances to make profit in this game. Oh well, at least I've been to the elite missions before.

Wow...I wonder if this will be available to all players in Kaineng Center (i.e. Tyrian and Canthan-born, and also those that haven't completed the Factions campaign yet)...

Sorry to double post, but I have a question about the double rare items...

Is it like, double super secret uber items? Or is it like twice as much rares dropped?

Weird wording.

This is taking away the whole point of faction farming! Now everyone and their brother will keep a character at the elite missions and ferry their friends in.

/methinks Anet should of thought of the people who spend all day farming faction

I'm one of those that mindlessly Faction Farms to hold on to HzH. They really need some better reward for holding on to the capitals. I mean wow we get access to the elite mission, we ferry everyone into for free anyways...The only other thing you get is a discount merchant, which sells the same things cheaper just at every other holdable town. Doesn't seem worth it IMO.

t will just make the elite mission full of noobs n much harder to complete

time for us pvpers to play some pve elite missions ! YAY!
