Faithful Intervention 5 energy, 2 casting, 20 recharge. Enchantment Spell. If damage drops your Health below 50%, Faithful Intervention ends. When Faithful Intervention ends, you are healed for 30...126 Health.

Illusion of Weakness 10 energy, 2 casting, 30 recharge. You lose 50...202 health. Illusion of Weakness ends if damage drops your health below 25% of your maximum. When Illusion of Weakness ends, you gain 50...202 health.

Is it just me or does Faithful Intervention completely replace Illusion of Weakness?

By looking at Faithful intervention, your health doesn even need to be 50% of your maximum, so you can use it with a 55 build if you like.

I'm trying to come up with a logical reason to say what you said isn't true... I can't say that having the skill activating at 25% health is more advantageous, because that's not true. The recharge and energy costs of Faithful Intervention really does put IoW out of favour.

Man... I could do a better job than this...

Not to mention most people wouldn't touch IoW in a pvp situation as it is... the lack of self-damage makes it a little better, lower recharge as well..

Just another outsourced mesmer ability

Illusion of weakness is used with a few goof builds (come on, no one uses illusion of weakness for healing), such as:

Phantom Pain on enemy + Blood Renewal + Illusion of weakness + Grenth's balance on enemy target (E) + Shatter delusions on enemy and an almost dead enemy is made

The problem is Illusion activates off damage... vs an Asassin if you didn't bring Distortion your stuffed. Shock, Falling, Twisted wander off and let you die. At least Faithful would activate first.

Faithful intervention is a DERVISH skill...

Plus IoW heals for way more.

Don't forget Faithful Intervention is based off the Dervish's primary attribute, making it all but useless to non-Dervishes.
