End of MM/Summoner?

I was using Dervish in AB and i have unlock the skill banishing strike. It is a great skill that if it hit a summoned creature, it deals 'Holy' Damage to i think is nearby foes. I tried the skill and it kills all the minion in 1 hit and brings the MM health down to < 25% health. If there are remaining minion(Flesh Golem due to higher level and more HP), you can use chilling vitory to finish off the MM.
These skill works on spirit as well, since they are summoned creature.

well, Necromancers will eventually counter it, assuming it gets into the final cut. I'm liking the Dervish a lot, it seems to be stopping everyone from blindly making a cookie cutter build.

I'm sure A-net found a way to either Nerf the skill or give the Necro's a great counter. The skill will probably be changed, as they have an easier time to do that.

Remember those were only beta skills and are subject to change, Necromancers may even get thier skills revised, I wouldn't worry about anything, A-Net knows what they're doing.

In AB, normally it's best to take Verata's Gaze to steal minions or set them loose, rather than killing them
Since it's 5 energy, you can spam it constantly.

i would rather anet dont nerf the skill, its rather, situational, maybe they are making more MM type mobs like the Kirin at Kurzicks area.

i just hope they do something with the stupid touch ranger's there not helping spred the joy of ava it makes ppl not want to play ava and its been long enough i remember they nerfed the air spikers in the beganing pretty fast

Lets not turn this into another "I hate touch rangers" thread please. There's lots of counters for them, hence not overpower, hence most likely won't get the nerf bat.

necros already have a counter spam death nova when the dervish kills all the minions at once the dervish will be dead or they'll just make bone fiends and be n/r with pin down and use barbs while the fiends kill the dervish.

What's so new about it? Holy Damage has always been rather destructive on all undead. Monks have various smiting skills that deal holy damage and, for instance, Judge's Insight + Barrage would have devastating effects on bone minions.

dont forget ray of judgement, deals double damage and at max stats sets undead on fire for 9 seconds.

If all scythe hit minions or summoned creature, which happened very often when vs a MM, all nearby foes take 10-70 holy damagem that is, 70 * 2 * 3 = 420 ignore armor damage on minions, and 70 * 3 = 210 ignore armor on MM. The MM should have about 50% of HP left.
It is better than Judge's Insight _ Barrage because it is ignore armor damage that is dealt to all nearby foes, which dealt 420 damage to undead minion and 210 damage to human player or non-undead summoned creature. It can combine with Chilling victory to deal a spike damage upon the MM or if the MM happen to be far away and use bone minion, it can spike the front line warrior. This build works only at AB, it might work to kill spirit spammer in GvG as MM is useless there.

Its a long time since the PvP event, i might remember it wrong, but according to my memory, it should be damage per strike on summoned creature. since i bring a MM to <50% hp 1 v 1 from full health.

I think people are speculating FAR too much. It was only a beta test. These assumptions are being made with no logical fact behind them. We haven't even seen the balanced paragon and dervish yet.

seriously, i love the look on enemy mm's who realize that their beloved flesh golems have turned on them which is why i carry verata's gaze even when playing blood spiker (the other skill i take is my avatar for anti MM corpse control).
oh yeah, regarding banishing strike, i'm pretty sure it will be nerfed. most skills previewed in beta events eventually get toned down and reworked.

Probably, from what I saw Dervish and Paragon builds were bordering on overpowered, to put it mildly. But I'd hope that was only for the preview to push people to buy the next chapter.
