I have two questions about MM's, which I haven't found the answer to after searching the neco board.

1. Has anyone tried /Rt secondary for MMing, or necro in general? What kind of benefits could a /Rt secondary give you?

2. I keep hearing of this MM nerf...what was changed?

I have not tried N/Rt for MMing. I'm not sure what you mean by Necro in general.

The only thing that /Rt gives you is global healing (recouperation and life), and a very weak Boon of Creation. You can try for Signet of Creation and blow up your minions in 30 seconds (use death nova on each minion/spirit).

Otherwise, really nothing.

Death Magic has been changed to limit the number of minions you can have. Before, you could have unlimited number of minions, now its limited to 2+level/2. So at level 16, you are limited to 10.

Blood of the Master as been changed so you sacrifice based on the number of minions you control, but heals all minions I think. Verata's Sacrifice has been changed so all conditions are transfered to you from your minions, and there is a 60 recharge time if you control over 3 minions.

I think that was all that was changed. But don't you think that was enough?

Yeah that's plenty...and actually...disappointing. Oh well...I'm still gonna try one, lol.

People still use MM builds even after the nerf.

I use it from time to time, in Factions, people expect a necro to be one.

the rit secondary makes mming easy, spawning boosts your undeads health (i think, im not certain). But adding rit to a normal non-mm is still useful. you could be a heck of a battery if you went blood necro and a restore rit second.

Fifteen Over Fifty [Rare]

N/Rt - Union + Shelter.

This is REALLY REALLY useful when battling Elementalist and Smiting bosses in Factions! Even though these are fairly weak spirits on a N/Rt, you only need to be able to block the first 'punch' by the boss. Once that's blocked, you should be able to kill him before he recycles.

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned the one spell any N/Rt should take to replace Rez Sig.

And, if you don't care your allies energy (or you have Blood is Power), you can take FomF with no points in it.

Actually, (before I removed my second PvE Necromancer) I found Rt secondary really usefull, Generous was Tsunrai is an incredible self-heal to make up for the sacrifice. Enough Rt Restoration skills to choose from.

In truth, I assumed Flesh of My Flesh is with Ritualists, primary or secondary. That is why I never mentioned it before.

Generous Was Tsungrai is an excellent self-heal that I use most of the time. I totally forgot to mention that one.

And yes, I vote BUNNIES to be charmed as pets.

Mending on yourself is a great way to keep up healing even after sacrificing (since you technically took damage or something so you will not have the regular health regeneration) Since you are going for maximum mana over regeneration due to Soul Reaping, this shouldn't be a problem
Healing Breeze makes a good healing spell
Heal Area is almost a must since Verata's Sacrifice is bugged and nerfed.
Your minions' degeneration stacks up till -10. Spamming spirits will cost you the time you need to maintain spamming Blood of the Master. In battle this is very important as your minions will die very fast from damage + degen.
Use Consume Corpse/Taste of Death/Soul Feast to boost your health for a quick heal. Using Taste of Death on your Golem in between battle = 4 free Blood of the Master and mana. You will still have the corpse afterwards.
