Best Assassin Pvp
Chuckmeister
Ok lemme put it like this. I made this build. this is the first time i releasing to public. ive spend about a month before factions planning this PvP god out in GWfreaks char builder. ive found it effective against EVERY BUILD except the gay touch rangers. (if u dont believe me e-mail me for a 1 on 1,, invite Gnar of Swiftness as a guest to your guild.)
heres how u want ur equiptment planned out.
Assassin/mesmer
Armor: Valk's (extra health) (dont forget vigor rune)
Weapon: ANY DAGGERS WITH 20% enchant mod (not optional)
^^-- i recommend daggers of xukao if u cant afford expensive weap
stats:
illusion: MAX
Dagger mast: 8 (9 with minor rune)
Shadow dis: 9 (11 with major rune)
Skills: this is the order of my skills.
1: Shadow of haste (very usefullskill, i use for facing touch rangers and for dragging opponents to your allies position, at first i used this to run in and do some damage at first then i found there were more usful ways to use this skill)
2: Deaths Charge (this is a very helpful skill when facing a group of people and u need health, just target a full health target and use it to gain about 110 health)
3: Shadow Refuge (obviously a musthave for its healing capability)
4: Dark Escape (this is one of my master plans it makes you run 25% faster and take half damage, ill tell u later why it is used to its full potential in this build)
5: Distortion (this is for emergencys only when u got low health and u need to heal up, also i use shadow of haste, run in, use distortion to travel back to my pinpoint)
6: Illusionary Weapon (this is what makes the build deadly, THE PERFECT MELE SKILL, its ONLY weakness is enchant breakers, but with this build ive made it possible to be almost as deadly without IW,,, this compliments dark escape because as long as u dont hit with an ATTACK, DE will stay active but IW isnt and attack its magic .... 34 damage is well enough to get the job done, a nice slow painfull death (gotta love frenzy war's 68 damage per hit) Dagger mastery compliments the dual hit and is the key to your deadlyness.
7: Illusion Of Weakness (this is baisicly your "gas is low" light for your IW assassin, when this activates it means use distortion and get away)
8: res signet (for alliance battles i use caltrops in place of this,, i always end up owning one person or another and they like to run away, caltrops will take care of that)
well there u go, first time ive let this build public. If ya haters be hating remember to add me as guest ill show u bring your build ill bring mine.
have fun with this one, its the revolution of assassins

This has been done for quite a while. It's also the sole reason why I went A/me.
Oh, and I would go with Shrouded Armor since you are gonna be draining MP with that there Distortion spell.

But why not going Mes/Ass?

jeff: i dont use distortion much at all, and even if i do it barely does any big damage to my blue juice unless im get bombarded by meele/range.
And i may realize people use IW assassins.. but i masterd it
Roha: i like assassin armor + u need dagger mastery for SOME chance of getting a double hit. and i do believe dagger mastery is the assassins special ability. And people wouldent suspect it as much to think that an a/me would be an IW assassin as opposed to Me/A

Mmh no, the primary attribute of an Assassin is Critical Strikes!
Anyway it's a good pressure build, not able to deal the same amount of damage a pure Assassin can but surely able to put nice pressure on the enemy.
It has the major disadvantage that a strip enchantment will make it useless but doesn't suffer in any way from weakness, blindness or any evading skill the other team could use.

withought IW on i can still deal a level 20 damage, this is enough to keep the enemy on their toes until i can recharge.

I dont get this. Why does this keep coming up? Theres been like 3 posts. Im sorry to bash it but
#1. Not nearly as effective as an Me/A
#2. Anybody with enchane removal = you lose
#3. It doesnt do enough dmg fast enough. If sombody with over 300hp realises whats happening they can easily kite and you can never end up killing them. Sure you can chase them down etc etc etc, but im just saying it takes a lot longer to kill them.
I too used this build during the pre release and a bit after. It works ok untill any of the above reasons becomes obvious. If you really want to stick with this build use spirit of failure with like 3 in inspiration. You cen keep distort up indefinantly then against tanks etc. Also (once again sorry for bashing) But your build isnt "mastering" anything.Your attribs are half way stuck between a vipers degen IW and a Double strike IW (which is what most people use as it does make you attack much faster).
I also Highly reccomend that you keep this build out of any 1v1's with assasins in gvg as many bring expunge which would...well....you wouldnt last long.

What is a PvP thread doing in a PvE forum?!
lapsus
this isnt really a PvE forum, its more of a exclusive area for discussing assassins, in all aspects.
The build is good but it needs some tweaking, besides Mes as a main doesnt add much to the build IMO

So your gonna censor every PvP build/disscussion in every forum? thats intelligent

No, because I'm not a Mod or Admin.
Maybe if people read where they were going to make their threads, I wouldn't of spoken up.

lol, well fyi the majority of the "campfire" boards are pvp disscussion.
Another idea, if you have the points throw a few into crits, you never know when you might need one lol

you mastered standing in the aggro and letting your automated attacks do damage as you maybe cast dark escape and/or distortion every now and then?
wow...congrats!

im not a hater, but ill tell u this; a utility ninja build like my own can end u in one skill: expunge enchantment. if u dont know wat it does...
Expunge Enchantment: All your non-attack skills are disabled for 10-3 seconds. For each non-attack skill disabled this way, remove one of your opponent's enchantments.
A typical assassin that knows wat he's doing carries only around 3-4 attack skills, meaning that the other 3 (excluding expunge) can be used to strip 3 enchantments. Illusionary weapon is going to be casted second after illusion of weakness, meaning it will be stripped..guaranteed. This is not the future of assassins because a simple enchant removal like this can render you useless. I agree that it puts pressure on monks as it does act like a touch ranger in the sense that your damage goes through defense, but unlike the ranger, your power can be stripped in one instant. i suggest going back and rethinking this build.
P.S: Srry the build you planned out since beta or w/e was just trashed, but i cant really pat you on the head for claiming something like this is the future of the assassin in such a weak and simple minded build
