Hey, just out of curiosity, why is Holy Veil considered by many to be a better hex removal/prevention than Reverse Hex (assuming 12+ on protection prayers). Reverse hex seems like it is a nice way to indirect heal someone while not paying attention to them (like Reversal of Fortune or Vigorous Spirit).
Holy Veil:
Energy:5, Casting:1, Recharge:12, Upkeep:1
While you maintain this enchantment, any hex cast on target ally takes twice as long to cast. When Holy Veil ends, one hex is removed from target ally.
Reverse Hex:
Energy:10, Casting:2,Recharge:7
Remove one Hex from target ally. For 5-9 seconds, the next time target ally would take damage inflicted injury is reduced by 5-41
Anytime I bring along Reverse Hex, people keep questioning why am I not bringing Holy Veil....am I missing something here? Reverse hex no only removes a hex right away, but also reduces any damage taken by 5-41 points....
Thanks!

You can precast holy veil before battles and during battle to anticipate an important removal : i.e migraine
Versus a migraine mesmer, you have a 4s cast of reverse hex, with they are absolutely SURE to interrupt, whereas migraine can be removed UNINTERRUPTIBLY (sp?) in less than a second with a precast veil. Veil also negates rubbish cover hexes which reverse hex doesnt, as you remove the hex the moment it's cast before the opposing mesmer/necro has time to cover it with another hex on top of your stack.

Former Ruling
Reverse Hex is considered one of the worst Hex Removals.
For two reasons
1) 10 Energy is the DEVIL to Monks that often have to watch how much they are spending on each thing.
2) 2 Second Cast is even worse on a Monk. It screams interupt in PvP and anywhere any second you are spending casting something is a second that you aren't potentially healing someone...

The 2 second cast time on Reverse sucks, and will be a prime target for interrupts. You also lose the option of pre-veiling in order to remove Migraine or other dangerous hexes from yourself before they get covered.
Also, the damage reduction is insignificant to the skill.
Oh, if you're talking about pve then Reverse is probably fine, but I wouldn't ever put it on my bar in pvp.

by the way the term Pre VEiling refers to putting Holy Veil on a target Hex or not so you can quickly zap off a nasty Hex like Migraine or Spiteful Spirit before the enemy can cover it.
