Nightfall Pre-Release Bonus Pack

If you purchase the Nightfall Pre-Release Bonus Pack will you get to play Nightfall a day earlier? On the Announcement page for the Pre-Release it doesn't state that you do, but I saw a few people say you do.

AN will probably give the preorderers a day's start, the turn out for the factions one was good, the amount of people there was only surpassed by the dragon festival, to my knowledge
and, why not? I could get my dervish to thunderhead keep by the end of the weekend like my assassin.

this is listed as a *prerelease RETAIL bonus pack* and not as a *preorder*.

there may be a separate preorder pack that is for pre ordering Nightfall which includes early access.

if this were a pre order it would also say start play one day early (WHICH IT DOES NOT) leading me to believe we will find out they are two different items

The retail package contains bonus items, a trial key, a character slot, and more.

Key word here is "more"

I beleive this to be the pre-order package but they changed the name to prerealease to give the companys a better idea that its a prerealease.

I beleive that it will have the 24hr head start. Well just have to wait till they give more information about it or say that their is a pre-order package too.

ebgames.com has the following with a price of $49.95 and a pre-release ship date of Oct 26th:

"Purchase Guild Wars: NightFall and receive the Bonus Pack that contains:.... "

So it looks like you purchase the game and get the bonus pack free.

but then again thats comming from ebgames, not the best place to go to. We just have to wait for a offical word from them.

So far as I know, Pre-Orders have always been free. I'm thinking that they are two seperate things.

the best buy near me is still selling Factions preorder boxes. Don't remember the price. Even before the release of Factions they would sell you the preorder without buying the game. It seems to be up to the individual store to determine if they will charge you for the box seperatly, or if they will apply that money to the purchase of the game.

AreaNET needs to explain this better. Everyone is "running" around the forums like a chicken with its head cut off asking everything that they haven't explained.

Australians suffer here because NCSoft have some wierd fetish with EB games. They keep giving them exclusive distribution. NCSoft, if you read this, give it to Games Wizards.

If you want to get the pre-release version of the next chapter, you must make sure you purchase the game called:

Guild Wars: Nightfall PRE-RELEASE EDITION.

If you simply pre-order the standard version (which ebgames tricked alot of people into doing with both prophecies and factions) you will not get anything.
