MO/MES Unable to Acsend

I'm having great difficulty in acsending, I just can't beat that mirror guy. Anyone have any builds that work without any problems!

Mo/Me is actually easy to ascend with. Why? Mesmers. 
Here is how you can win with little difficulty:
Spirit of Failure (Inspiration)
Empathy (Domination)
Illusionary Weakness (Illusion)
Physical Resistance (Inspiration)
Rebirth (Protection)
Ressurect
Signet of Capture
Rez Signet
Domination: Max
Inpiration: Max
Illusion: Leftovers
Before you touch the 3 stones, cast Illusionary Weakness. Wait until you are at full health, then touch the last stone.
Cast SoF, then Empathy then Physical Resistance. Don't attack, just wait. Cast SoF & Empathy when needed. Doppleganger will die quickly.
Don't take any self healing. IW is the only self-healing you need. RoF is a just incase (but you won't need it).
Have fun killing it.

If you can compitently strafe one opponent, try this:
1. Retribution
2. Healing Breeze
3-8. [Free Slot] You don't need anything here.
Doppleganger won't use Healing Breeze on himself unless he's being degened, so basicaly just strafe him and let yourself get hit off and on. By no means will you get the "bonus" with this, but you'll be able to beat him without a problem.

12 Dom Empathy
Heal Breeze for healing if you need it.
Distortion if you need it.
Dopple won't use Healing breeze. Just strafe a little and keep Empathy up. Kills self fast.

No this is the common way to beat your doppleganger just useing those 3 skills on your bar and it is easy for a Monk to do this about the 3rd from War to Ranger.

what about the backfire/hexbreaker combo?
before you enter the double arena, cast hexbreaker, when you reach the double, cast backfire right of, then emphaty, then just run around
and take divine boon as healing, just recast =)

You don't need to use any secondaries skills I never did with any of my char.s.I could of put frenzy on to make it that much easier did I no.I am a Monk.

Monk/Ranger and let him spirit up while you smite him, OR Monk/Necro Sacrifice skills and put Scourge Healing on him.

I did it once, only equiped with breeze. I killed him/her/it with my staff only

I thought someone said that the doppleganger now does use healing breeze. I know HB was the healing spell that the doppleganger won't use (unless to counter health degen), but I heard somewhere that in one of the last few patches, the doppleganger will use it.
Anyway, I know a lot of people use Backfire and a bunch of spells that will kill the doppleganger quickly, but I think you must put backfire as your last skill. I think it casts from left to right, if memory serves me correctly.
You can also Distortion as well to keep yourself from being hurt too much.

There is a much much easier way. Take only reversal of fortune and empathy. Put empathy on him, and spam reversal on yourself. Do not attack him at all. That way he will kill himself from empathy and you will stay alive with reversal. Just divide your points between prot and domination.

i was lucky to get a smiting staff in fow
used something like
breeze, orison, smite hex, bane signet, hex that causes -2 health regen (forgot to take it out, woot luck), shielding hands, banish and smite(?)
get in close so he uses melee and just start healing and attacking, cranks up healing and smiting smite hex is the real damage dealer
got bonus with this btw
