Bug in Vizunah Square?

In Vizunah square mission at the beggining of the mission before mhenlo is around he dies and we fail is this a bug or anything we can fix?

If i'm thinking of te right mission, theres two teams, one starts with mehnlo and must protect him. The other team must make their way to provide reinforcements before they get overwhelmed. If the other team was henchies, well, then thats why Mehnlo died.
