Hi all,
I've been playing GW for a year now, but only ever played 3 casters and a ranger, so a couple of days ago i started a warrior to give it a try as i love soloing with my other characters and also wanted a change of pace,
So, i'm a complete noob to them, I understand all the damage skills etc as i have used a /W on alot of my other characters at some point, but not so much about tanking, absorbtion etc.
What i'm really interested in is tanking lots of damage but still being able to have good DPS,
I prefer the idea of tanking in FoW etc by boosting my armor to insane levels rather than lots of blocking etc as i love to see those "-0"'s and from what i can see this is done through strength,
So are there effective tanking builds using strength and not just tons of evasion etc?
Also, i notice theres the 100al armor that requires points in strength, is this a good choice?
Thanks
New to warriors..got a couple of questions

Well if you want ot be a 100% tank while still doing good DPS i suggest getting a set of Platemail(wyrven or what ever) or that 100al, however, get a helm that is +1 to swords and get a major swords run, sup abrosption in chest, and rest minors (or major or superior for vigor)
Seeing you want to do FoW i'd then expect you'll be relying on your monk to heal? if so then max str (for armour if you have sentinels) and then get sword as high as you can, Elite wise bring, in this case, Dragon slash,
Skill wise bring
Dragon slash {elite} Silverwing slash, Galrath slash, Sun&Moon, Dolyak signet, and then 3 STR skills, i have no clue what you can put there, so put what you want :P
Stats:
13 str (if you have sentinels)
then max out sword with rest of points
OR
15 swords (if you don't have sentinels)
max out str with rest of points,
EDIT: i forgot you're attempting to have a whole lot of -0's so it'd probbaly be best to bring Defy pain other than Dragon Slash.. yeah this is my ten cents

Absorption works only on physical damage now, absorption inherant to armor is location specific (runes are universal). Dolyak Signet Watch Yourself and Shields Up should be staples of your build. Interupts are helpful, Rush is the best speedboost, and dual damage reduction shields are the best (followed by -2/+30).
And use legionaire's armor, please.
