Yes, we could do an international money transfer.. that adds about as much as the slot is worth ontop, JUST to get it. Same with bank cheque.. plus save way of sending it to them.. that's about 2 1/2 times as much as someone with a CC would have to pay.
Please don't start preaching that if you don't have a CC it's cause you're a child and you should ask your parents if they're going to buy the slots for you. Some of us adults have chosen to forego the fees associated with CC's because, quite frankly, the occasional internet purchase which you'd do comes to once every year or 6 month.. really not enough to bother paying a yearly fee for the CC. Also, not having one means I CANT get into debt
Thanks guys for looking into other payment options though, looking forward to the day where we can get the new slots too.

But if Paypal was accepted, It would increase the likelyhood of me buying an additional slot or two because, I along with a lot of other people, Have a paypal account(Needed one when we bought 1000k in GW gold)
That last little bit was a joke. I dont ebay :-p
They also need to fix the problem some of us are having while trying to use a credit card to purchase a character slot -- an error message saying the security code or expiration date doesn't match. I have verified the code and expiration date with my credit card company, yet the online store continues to decline it. I've been communicating with NCSoft support for over a week now, including an offer to set-up a three-way conference call among NCSoft, my credit card company, and me, to no avail.
I am almost 100% focused on PvP (I temporarily gave up my PvP slot to create a PvP-capable PvE character, only to find I couldn't purchase another slot after having invested nearly ten hours in the new character), so being without the ability to roll a PvP character on short notice has inhibited my game play for over a week now. NCSoft/ANet need to fix this problem pronto!

Have u tried not entering the issue number? If you check through all the posts by Devs related to the cards, you'll se that some Euro cards (if ur using a European card) borked, and the issue number bit doesnt work, enter all the details the same, just skip that.

You're not paying for the slot, per se, you're paying for the technology that provided that virtual item.

I can't comment on PayPal specifically, but I do believe that those without credit cards will have a solution soon. |

I said this in another forum, but I found it to be very nice to have when I didn't have my debit card: You can get a Visa/Mastercard/AMEX giftcard and use it online, it works just like a credit card. They're really convenient.
I'm not sure if they're available in Europe, I'm pretty sure they're worldwide though.

There are online shops that accept PayPal but it means having to wait for a box of junk to arrive just so you can read and enter your key. It would be far simpler if we could just use the PayPal to buy direct from Anet, especially as additional character slots are not available from any other source.
