Well aware of that.. but.. until you can come up with another form of payment for those without credit card.. that's the best option.

Yes, we could do an international money transfer.. that adds about as much as the slot is worth ontop, JUST to get it. Same with bank cheque.. plus save way of sending it to them.. that's about 2 1/2 times as much as someone with a CC would have to pay.

Please don't start preaching that if you don't have a CC it's cause you're a child and you should ask your parents if they're going to buy the slots for you. Some of us adults have chosen to forego the fees associated with CC's because, quite frankly, the occasional internet purchase which you'd do comes to once every year or 6 month.. really not enough to bother paying a yearly fee for the CC. Also, not having one means I CANT get into debt and that's worth quite a bit to me.

Thanks guys for looking into other payment options though, looking forward to the day where we can get the new slots too.

I believe, and I could be wrong on this, The state Anet is located in requires all purchases online and in store to be taxed at the states taxation rate. Regardless of where the customer is and if you get the item online or in a store. This is why certain items on eBay require taxation and some stores online you purchase from require taxation. I could be wrong.

But if Paypal was accepted, It would increase the likelyhood of me buying an additional slot or two because, I along with a lot of other people, Have a paypal account(Needed one when we bought 1000k in GW gold)

That last little bit was a joke. I dont ebay :-p

You're only saying that because you don't want to get banned.

They also need to fix the problem some of us are having while trying to use a credit card to purchase a character slot -- an error message saying the security code or expiration date doesn't match. I have verified the code and expiration date with my credit card company, yet the online store continues to decline it. I've been communicating with NCSoft support for over a week now, including an offer to set-up a three-way conference call among NCSoft, my credit card company, and me, to no avail.

I am almost 100% focused on PvP (I temporarily gave up my PvP slot to create a PvP-capable PvE character, only to find I couldn't purchase another slot after having invested nearly ten hours in the new character), so being without the ability to roll a PvP character on short notice has inhibited my game play for over a week now. NCSoft/ANet need to fix this problem pronto!

One would hope so, but they have ignored for two days now my offer to set-up a conference call. There should be no reason why that particular approach, while not as high-tech as a change to the programming code for the store, would not work. That they're not following-up on my offer tells me they're not serious about customer service. It also reduces the likelihood I'm going to act on future offerings from NCSoft.

Have u tried not entering the issue number? If you check through all the posts by Devs related to the cards, you'll se that some Euro cards (if ur using a European card) borked, and the issue number bit doesnt work, enter all the details the same, just skip that.

Honestly I would like to see extra storage space for sale rather than creating a new character and having to switch around to get items you need.

Hm. I can see one now....... screen reflection. Paypal drained my CC to the limit with fake orders, so pls be careful. And don't cry, it was a CC I only used for Paypal with a E100/month max (yes, you can get those).

It's the same reason you pay for services rendered. Like talking to a psychiatrist: you don't get anything substantial from that either. And to be honest, it's not that virtual: your char takes up spaces in their server

Well lets take that a step further....why pay for anything virtual? Guild Wars should be free then, as all other games.

You're not paying for the slot, per se, you're paying for the technology that provided that virtual item.

Hmm, PlayNC is based in Texas, I think onlu Texas residents have to pay Tax on Internet purcheses there. When I bought some computer parts from a Texas company I did not have to pay tax on them. PlayNC is just trying to make an extra 6-7% that they don't have to pay tax on.

What about home banking or net banking? I can just make a transaction from my bank account to Anet's bank account. Fast and easy if Anet offers the option.

The only thing about this Alex is that Debit Cards in Canada don't work online only Major Credit Cards and PayPal.You can not use a Canadian Debit Card to do this.

I am not sure if you are aware of this but many Fansites maybe not this one use PayPal as thier means of support not that they need to but it helps. The Site I am on Staff with does every little bit helps to keep a Fansite up and running.

I said this in another forum, but I found it to be very nice to have when I didn't have my debit card: You can get a Visa/Mastercard/AMEX giftcard and use it online, it works just like a credit card. They're really convenient.

I'm not sure if they're available in Europe, I'm pretty sure they're worldwide though.

There are online shops that accept PayPal but it means having to wait for a box of junk to arrive just so you can read and enter your key. It would be far simpler if we could just use the PayPal to buy direct from Anet, especially as additional character slots are not available from any other source.

Here in the BeNeLux, we have tons of creditcards and paymethod, paypal supports them all and would make it so easy to buy stuff
