Transferring character, Prophecies -> Factions and back?

Hi, I'm pretty new to GW. I tried to do a search on the board for these questions but didn't find any answer, so sorry if they have been answered before without me finding it.

I do know how to transfer characters, I've been able to find that info. Now I've made it to Lions Arch and thought that I could check out the Factions world (Yes I've got both campaigns tied to the same account.). But if I transfer to Factions, will my mission/quest progress from Prophecies be saved? And can I transfer back at will? Will I be able to continue with my quests where I left them off, and will they in that case be cleared from the quest log so I have to repick them?

It would be much appreciated if someone could answer this for me. I wouldn't want to transfer to Factions and then discover that something went wrong so I can't finish the Prophecies campaign with that char.

go from kaineng center to the marketplace dock to get to the starting island which is very nice.

very short non combat run to get there

south i think in any case the marketplace is down on your main map not up
