I'm about to get this laptop:

How well will GW run on it? Thanks for the help!

Short Answer Yes.. but it will be low to medium graphic settings.

The Intel 950 on-board video card is holding it back. From what I've been reading on the web (not just guru) it will run GW but it's not officially supported.

Do you think it's worth trying to play GW on it? I'm getting this laptop for college and I'm taking GW with me...

Says I don't have Internet Explorer 6.

I already got the laptop I posted before so I guess I'll just see how it does. :/

NO... mostly no anyway.... intel integrated cards are known to have problems with GW ... many of my friends could not run it... from what i can see the card is the only thing that will give you the problem...

Well actually, I'm playing it right now...and it's not bad. My desktop is, of course, much sharper but nothings fuzzy. It's a bit faster on my laptop too b/c it has more memory and stuff.

well it's not a bad laptop....but the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator part... it's not equivalent to a dedicated graphic card!!
Unless something goes wrong with this build (like sektor said, GW just don't like it), it should probably take most of the games (except the high end ones). However the graphics and performance are definitely not going to be as good, cuz the software is doing what the hardware suppose to do.

but if you have been playing on an old machine, you should still see some improvement.....like when I switch from a pentium with 256+128MB of ram to my laptop XD

but the one I have now is Pentium M 1.73GHz, 1GB ram, with ATI radeon X600 64MB. any ATI or nVidia that a laptop comes with would definitely help

In general, this is a good laptop, but if GW is a big part or your life (which I assume it is), I'd see if there are other good deals with a graphic card.

PS. just for a fact....I DO work at Canadian Costco's electronic department this summer ^.^
