Just had a few thoughts, what with the guild war shop being in game like other popular mmorpgs have done, (that arent charging monthly rates.) Do you think ideas like a in game currency buyer would sell?

User A sells his ingame money to the guildwars game, Guild wars sells it to User B and gets a share of the money that would go to User A.

Or perhaps have novelty items such as mounts some time, stone summit jerks have em *shakes fist*

And if they keep the rates low enough it would prevent 3rd party sites from trading guildwars gold.

An auction house would be a nice addition to. Give your items to an npc and people can scroll through the npc's item list and buy something if they like it. Would prevent all the "where are you?!" "Im by this guy with the big shield" "Ok meet me by the guy with the sword" (etc etc..) that and the anti social can trade with out talking.. huzzah!

Just an idea.

sorry if something similar was written about this, I emailed guildwars and got directed to fansites pretty much.

There is a thread in The Riverside Inn here you can put your shop ideas :\

well i like all these ideas accept the buying and selling gold to an ingame npc. it might cut out the 3rd parties that are selling gw's gold. but you have to think. y would anybody sell gold. it would be very unfair. lets say the price of gold is 10 gold. for every 1 gold you have you could make 10 gold for not doing anything. because if they were to not make it possible for you to make gold from selling gold. nobody would do it. but yes other than the selling and buying gold from an NPC i like all of the ideas.

i meant sell gold for real money, So you would sell say 50 platnium, the buyer would get 50 platnium at ... i dont know what a good real money to in game ratio would be. The buyer of the gold would pay more than the seller would recieve, with the difference going to the guild wars company.

this would also help keep people playing and further develop the game as the developers are recieving money, though small, think of how many people play guild wars. and how many of them would be to lazy to hunt and earn money themselves for that great armor. 10 dollers here, 10 dollers there..

Could build up quite fast but they'd have to assure that people would do it before attempting such, otherwise it could just become an unused option.

as for riverside inn i'll try and make my way over to there, i chose this forum first mainly because it was on the top of the list and i do often visit here for guides. (derp read that wrong, thought riverside inn was another forum site, *posts there*)

but think of all the white weapons in there, it would be difficult to implement some sort of restriction of items you could put in, i mean you could even put crappy golds in with no damage mod, sadly this would be a bad system because they couldn't possible have a filter for items which are automaticaly "valuable" and which aren't...
