What is your definition of a pefect item? An item with Req. 7-8 and max inherent mods (ex: 15^50) or an item of any req. with max inherent mods?
I must know what the people think to settle a debate! That's why I'm asking the high-end traders. :X

Toilet Monster
most times its called 'quite perfect' when it has req. 7-8-9, and a perf dmg mod.. the kind of skins are also very important, cheap skins like a gladius won't be high-end.

I bid 2g on your sig, Toilet.
But, a "perfect" item generally constitutes these: req 7-9, perfect inherent damage mod (generally >50/stance/enchant), and sometimes includes "perfect" mods, lots of people like sundering/fort, although they're not too great.

a perfect item is one with perfect inherent mods regarless of req or added on mods... and just because you say please dont close doesnt mean the admins wont close this and ban you

Foe
perfect=req8 w/ perf dmg mod...req 7 swords and shields...well there req 7.
As far as it concerns trading any way..No a req 8 15^50 Fell isnt "perfect" but that's the term used to describe it...req 9 no way.. 1 trader says 2 another "just picked up perfect fell" the assumption is req 8 15^50 if it were req 7 the owner would absolutley refer 2 it as req 7 not perfect" Ha!, just grabbed a req 7 15^50 Gothic Sword"
Edit: thats warrior stuff though, req 10 20/20 Firestaff most ppl wouldnt disagree if it were refered 2 as perfect..req not really issue for most caster stuff its the cast,recharge,energy..etc mods mostly
Its slang not a literal discription

When people say perfect, it generally means req8 15^50 with perfect prefix/suffix. When it's req7, it's just req 7. You'll find people will make that pretty clear.

I agree. Good issue to bring up to. It annoys the hell out of me, seeing people advertise items as perfect. That carry req's of 9,10,11, and 12.
req8 or below. 15^50. Core stats for perfect.
A shield, dual moded, Highest dmg reduction or health boost in their class. Whether it be hexed, stance, enchantment, or a percentage. Anything less, is never perfect.
I see way too many people advertising perfects around here, that are anything but.

That Warrior Guyy
alot of people have their own definition of perfect. so just to tie it in all together... i guess... anything that is ideal
Pesi
A perfect items is with, for staffs two perfect base mods, 10/10, or 20/20 same as req. melee weaponds is whenever its max % on the base mod. 15% vs. hexed foes is perfect but its still crap. There is alot of diffrent ways how too see a perfect item. This is how for me. ( Will i get banned for No Bid/No Post now? )

req 8 15>50 Zealous +30Hp

Riken Chrono

as someone who has traded more weapons than anyone here; "perfect" generally refers to r8.
there are a lot of people who like to use the term "perfect" for any item with a perfect damage mod, but the term in the past, and still is, among the more prevalant traders, referring to a r8 weapon.
while r7 is by all means perfect, not all weapons are capable of achieving r7 with perfect mods, the lowest req that any weapon can have and have perfect mods is r8, so, universally, r8 is the definition of "perfect."
r7 weapons were (at their inception) so entirely rare that considering a r8 non-perfect was just not a possibility, as only a few dozen people possessed perfectly modded r7s. that tradition has persisted till now, and, so, r8 is still considered the bottom-line perfect mod, though there are a few people who deal almost exclusivly in r7s (even i dont do this...as my collections are far, far too large to make this even remotly possible).
r9 is NOT considered perfect, but rather close to it. simply because its the next best thing to r8, and is more or less, just as good. that having been said, it is NOT the lowest-commonly-held requirement for all weapon types, and so, deeming it a "perfect" requirement is not only inaccurate, but not the standard.
and thats my sentiment,

oh...and as to this:
funny, cuz ive seen quite a few. i alone have somewhere on the lines of 11 of them.

Yes the term perfect is attached to almost every title in the high end sales forum...
Traditionally "Perfect" referred to a req 8 perfect dmg mod or casting mod....or basically the best armor or dmg mod that can be found on the item.... as well as it being the lowest req needed...generallly this was req 8...req 7s were very far and few..but in the true sense of the word these req
7s are Perfect Perfects.....and yes they can still be found.....even in Factions..
However...In todays market the term Perfect refers more to max dmg mod or casting mod irregarldess of requirment... and that has pretty much stuck.......

I'm pretty much repeating what everyone else is saying here but..
In terms of weapons, "perfect" is:
req 8
15%
I don't really care about mods - they're always replaceable.
Also, as for caster items, "perfect" is also:
req 8
5>50 nrg
10/10
10/20
20/20
That's my take on it anyhow.
