guild wars factions

If i get guild wars factions without the original guild wars, do i get everything from the original guild wars including the new stuff, or do i only get the new stuff?
Darkcraft
You only get what is in Factions,2 new characters, but you would get the new skills for factions.
They are both standalone games,so you dont have to have one to play the other.
You would not get what there is in prophecies,as well.
If you have both, you can take your characters over from one game to the other, and vise-versa.

,get Prophecies, then Factions, then you will have 6 character slots, but you can always add more if you want from the GW`s shop.
Also if you have prophecies & factions, more skills are unlocked in prophecies.
I have both, but still prefer the first.
Hope this helps.

Also many skills in Prophicies can be earned through missions, where as you have to buy them all in Factions and they each cost a skill point. It doesn't really matter once you've been 20th level for awhile, but starting off those free skills really help.

Prophecies is also a better way to learn how to play the game. Factions sorta rushes you through the beggining and gets to the harder parts early, where prophecies gets to the harder parts in the middle to endish of the game.
Plus, if you buy factions, then you get certain skills (most have to be bought with in-game money), and if you buy prophecies, you get other skills (most can be unlocked through quests), and if you buy both (and merge your accounts), then you get all the skills, plus things like 2 extra character slots for merging.
