Tips and Advice:
1.) Go out from Vasburg Armory, as soon as you load, check the two groups in front of the Res Shrine. Check the image below for more details. Check the groups whether they have either a Pain hungry gaki or Skill Hungry gaki, if they do, go back to Vasburg and respawn, then check again, until the two groups i mentioned doesn't have either gakis with them.
An Example of a GOOD SPAWN:
2.) When your successful with #1, proceed on killing yourself as shown on the video! Cast your enchantments, by this time using the equipments i mentioned and with 15% dp, your health will be at 13hp.Hold ctrl and look for the scar eater, target it.Maintain your target on the Scar Eater so you'll know how to go back to him when you try to agro all three groups!
3.) When you're aggroing, constantly check the compass for new spawns. Once new red dots appear in your compass, that is an indication that a group of onis has spawned. if so, immediately activate Spellbreaker, so that you wont get shadow shroud on you. Continue aggroing all three groups. Once you're done, get close to the scar eater, recast prot and heal breeze when Spellbreaker starts to blink.Cast Scourge healing on scar eater then use Silver Armor! Watch the numbers rise and scar eater's health drop!
4.) Some people who are well aware of this type of build, use Glyph of Renewal as the elite, as this will let you recast Sliver Armor immediately dealing consistent fast damage. However that may be too heavy for Canthan Characters, as they will have to go to Perdition Rock in order to cap it! That is why spellbreaker comes in, not only does it help against onis, it's also fairly easy to cap!
5.) This tip is for a Faction character with prophecies account: So your scourge healing skill isn't unlocked yet. Do this, make sure you have at least 1k balthazar faction. Send one of your characters to the pvp arenas, talk to the priest, and unlock scourge healing under smiting prayers. Load your canthan monk, get him to Lion's Arch, and talk to sergio, scourge healing should appear in his skill list. Buy it and you're done!
NEW TIPS:
6.) Having trouble in dealing with onis? Well actually onis help alot in this farm. why? Their Fast and dual attacks allow sliver armor to work double and you will only need 2 groups of kirins, mosses, undergrowths, that being 1 near the scar eater and the other is scar eater's group itself, plus the onis of course. If you're having trouble against them, here's what you must do. Before going in with 13hp, scout the area first as 55mo. If onis do spawn, it will give you the advantage of knowing where to time your spellbreaker and go for The scar eater. So as soon as they spawn, bring them as close as you can to the scar eater, then kill yourself. Cast your enchantments, agro the first group without the onis yet, build up some energy... now before approaching the onis, cast spellbreaker, then agro the onis on your way to the scar eater... then sliver armor, scourge, then just recast whats necessary and he'll drop in one round of sliver armor!
7.) Aaah the gakis.. Their spirits are a big threat to your build, especially spirit of bloodsong and disenchantment. If you want an extra challenge then try this. i've farmed scar eater numerous times even if there are gakis around. Here's what you must do:
a.) Scout the area as a 55 for onis, if onis spawn you'll only need to agro 1 group besides scar eater's, if no, then you have to agro 2 groups.
b.) After scouting, im assuming you're already in your 13hp state. so cast your enchantments, agro the necessary number of groups, BUT agro this group far away from scar eater's group. The trick here is that as soon as the gakis notice you, they'll quickly cast their spirits, actually they cast 2 spirits. Quickly pull the groups towards scar eater, leaving the gakis casting their spirits. Once you've pulled them successfully near scar eater, the gakis will try to catch up, however they wont be able to cast spirits yet, giving you enough time to kill the scar eater in one round. if one round wont do, then there's a very big chance that you wont succeed! but with the new attributes, you'll be successful 90% of the time!
Happy Scar Eater Farming! Good Luck and Thanks! Please don't hesitate to post any comment or suggestion!
