New Pets

Am I the only one getting bored with the same old pets? Does anyone else want new types of pets? Well I know I want new pets! How about something like the drakes, just a little bit smaller, a swarm of bees, of was pretty angry to find out that I could have the bunny! I was also thinking of something a bit like a monkey or a mountain goat. If you have ideas post them, thanks.

/signed. I was thinking that a small dragon would make a good pet too. Its seems like it would have certain advantages and disadvantages since they come in different elemental types. The base melee damage could be the same for all the dragons but the elemental damage would have different effects on different enemies.

I'm a bit tired of the 'realistic' pets there are now. Why cant we have more fantasy pets. The only unreal pets they have atm are Dune Lizards (giant iguanas), giant crabs, Moa, and Phoenix. I like the idea of small drakes, but why not something we havent seen yet? Like some cat-like creature with 6 legs or something?

A small hydra looking pet would own, or pandas, errrrr a smaller gryphon that flew. Hell anything that doesnt have to do with bird or cats.

I was thinking a Dino would be cool. I don’t know about you all, but I was disappointed with the phoenix. I wanted one that would burst into flames or something, not be a stupid peacock. I also would thin that getting a pet panda would be awesome. I was hoping it would come out with factions see how factions has an Asian theme and all. I want a pterodactyl too. That would be sweet!

Im liking the ideas, keep them coming. I agree more fantasy like creatures, GW is a fantasy game, although a six legged cat might be the dumbest idea I've ever heard, sorry. Anyway, keep thinking.

The phoenix didn't burst into flames until it was time to hatch it's eggs. The legend of the phoenix is that it would lay it's egg, then burn. The ashes of the dead gave the warmth needed to hatch the egg. The young phoenix would then feed off the ashes until it could fly. The whole "flaming bird of death" image most people have is an even more fantisized version of the original legend.

It was like that to fit the Asian theme. However, a flaming phoenix would be more appropriate for Nightfall.

How about elemental themed pets? Either like golems, or simply like the phoenix(fire). Maybe have a small yeti for ice, etc..
And a definite yes to any fantasy pets in general.

some sort of demonized pet would be nice, like a skeleton lynx or something. maybe a skeleton bear.. yeah that would be sweet, maybe put some horns on him that would own

I aggree. Be a little out there, if a player doesnt want the certain pet they wont get it. I want to see something more like a kangaroo or a lemer (sp?)

or a Unicorn (which would poke with his corn).....
or a Snake (poison with every bite for 3 seconds, but that would have to be a high end, like the spider from UW pet)
or a Hipo (new elite pet skill: swallow target foe for 60 seconds)

I want a tiger size temple guardian, although temple guardians were in factions. It'd be cool to see temple guardians through different expansions, maybe guarding temple around the world.

i agree i love hipos.
maybe aaaaa : / umm a surround damage pet like a tail whip kind of thing for a dino or sumthing ..... idk im running out of ideas : )

A lion would be a sweet pet. How about an Imp (I was looking at the devil smiley). I like the idea of a smaller yeti but I'm trying to stay away from turning normal pets into mini pets. Anyway, keep the ideas coming, thanks.
