What goes best With Mesmer
Thugzz
If anyone wouldn't mind helping me here, i was wonndering what the most effective secondary class with a Mesmer is.
Hidden in the Mist
A monk since you're skill bar is going to be nearly composed of Mesmer skills.
Former Ruling
Mesmer's Fast Casting can take advantage of the Monk's Ressurection skills that normally are too long of a cast to take.
Hand of Ruin
I'd imagine elementalist would also do well with Mesmer if you build accordingly.

For PvE monk is always the best secondary, for all professions, but especially for mesmers as they do not have an effective self-heal, no effective tanking-ability, and no decent AoE spells.
For PvP you'll have to decide on a role and what supporting skills you need, and pick the profession which offers that.

I like using Necro as my Mesmer's secondary. But it depends on what role you want your Mesmer to play. If you want to be a degen/hexer, then Me/N is the way to go. If you want to be a fast casting echo nuker, then Me/E's the thing to be. If you want to play a purely support role, then go with the Monk secondary.

In PvE i'd ideally go Me/Mo, because with fast casting you can take advantages of the ressurection abilities at fast speed- as others have pointed out. Also, for the most part, PuGs do not like accepting mesmers into their groups (they believe in the cookie-cutter build, (Nukers, MMs, Wars, Monks, etc) So, the ressurection helps when you have to deal with henchies >_>. Me/E you can fast cast nuke with, a bit more effective in PvP and such, and then Me/N is a bit for Fast Hexing, also a bit more effective in PvP. Hope this helps.
Good luck.
