15k kurz male mes dye question

Checking out the pictures on wiki:

I noticed that the red dyed armor looks like what I would suspect, black trim with colored parts. I would have assumed that the black always stays black.

Then look at the picture underneath where they dyed it blue. The black trim from the previous picture on the jacket is now greenish. Does the dye apply to the whole set?
